A “photon” is an outcome of an electromagnetic wave acquiring particle like properties. Similarly, thetan seems to be an outcome of theta acquiring individuality.
A particle acquires an identity through its discreteness, form and inertia. Similarly, a thetan seems to acquire a definition through its “discreteness” of individuality and “inertia” of identity.
The wave properties of electromagnetism seem to condense into the form of a particle. Similarly, the awareness properties of theta seem to condense into the form of a thetan.
The thetan seems to be the resultant of awareness vectors formed by considerations, desires and impulses. Thus, a thetan may be defined in terms of complex interactions among the elemental vectors of considerations, desires and impulses.
These elemental vectors seem to make up the thetan’s intention, thetan’s will, and the thetan itself. Their source seems to be beyond the thetan.
Thetan is the resultant identity. An identity has a localized form, and also a localized occurrence. Thus, a thetan has a location in space and time (see the picture above).
The thetan is considered to be the spirit, which is basically the aliveness of the body.

This seems to be the basic model of a thetan when it is not considering itself… and just IS… Ha ha!

The solution is simply look at the inconsistency that is impinging, and keep looking at it more and more closely until it resolves.

That is probably as good of a physical / actual description as you could get. A desire for a harmonious tone / vibration. A feedback loop to attempt to minimize the disharmony.
On the other hand, one will sometimes add to the feedback (positive feedback), stoke the fire, etc. in order to blow into a new tone or blow through a torment of the old one. Murderous rage would fit that description.

In your vector idea of a thetan, desires could be seen to have an opposite vector: repulsions.
Considerations and impulses don’t strike me as having opposite or dichotomous vectors.
Does anyone else see a vector the opposite of consideration? Nullification? Not even that seems to have quite the feeling of the same vector.
Consideration, desire and impulse are probably aspects of the same thing. Vectors would have 360 degrees of different orientations. There can be two considerations in conflict, or two desires in conflict, or two impulses in conflict. There is also the generation and resolution of these elements.

What did the Buddha say about desire? Something like that we had to eliminate desire to “ascend”?
“As long as there is this ‘thirst’ to be and to become, the cycle of continuity (samsāra) goes on. It can stop only when its driving force, this ‘thirst’, is cut off through wisdom which sees Reality, Truth, Nirvāna.” ~ Buddha
It seems that the desires subside when one has the wisdom to see reality for what it is.

This is similar to my own experience. The more I embrace the World (everything) — not particularly in a tree-hugging sort of way but that metaphor is ok too — the less impulsive and compulsive I feel.

I had omitted solid angles of 3 dimensions. I spoke only in terms of 2 dimensions. But, yes, you can look at directions in all 3 dimesions from a point. I don’t know how many degress that is. It would be in terms of 3 dimensional angle units and not 2 dimensional degrees.
I just figured that a sphere with circumference of 360 has and area of 41,253.
A vector and its opposite gives you a 180 degree relationship.
Basically, by vectorizing the thetan you are imbuing it with personality traits which is coming pretty close to a set of dimensions. These dimensions may be qualities with a quantity so a vector isn’t out of the question.
I don’t think that all the personality traits have an associated opposite. For instance, ego. What would be the opposite? Humble? Within a very closely defined domain, I suppose.
So what is a person who is neither egotistical nor humble? Can there be a zero, a null point between them? If these are really vector quantities, then, yes, we must include zero.
So what happens if we hit a zero on all these personality traits? Are we dead or have we hit the point of static?
I think you hit the point of mindfulness. You become like a black body that absorbs and resolves everything and radiates nothing.

Ct: In the world of + and -, this idea makes sense. Then after doing that little trig solving for the area of a sphere as a way to model the number of “vector points” or possible directions, attitudes, etc., of a thetan (personality) it started me looking at vectors emotionally and socially as well as physically and it became apparent to me that degrees of social interactions such as using “manners” might be calculable with an eye to vectors. This is not a new idea. We have always referred to a person doing what seemed non-seq as ” ‘going-off’ on a tangent.” Also the “loose cannon” is “loose” when the person is pointing in so many vectors that one cannot predict where they will finally shoot.
Two desires in conflict have different vectors.

Here we have a body that is composed of many body parts. Body organs seem to be entities on their own right. The body organs are made up of cells.
Cells of a body organ act in perfect coordination for the proper functioning of that organ. Body organs act in perfect coordination for the proper functioning of the body. Any inconsistency in that coordination is manifested as a disease or illness.
Brain is where all the coordination is organized. Electro-chemical systems are used for this purpose.
The next level seems to be made up of the following words:
GE, food, meals, appetite, health, medicine, clothing, grooming, personal hygiene,
The cordination point of all body organs seems to have an idenity referred to as GE (genetic entity). The cycle starts with input of energy into the body through food. Lack of food is one of the serious problems in any human society.
Surprisingly, the body can adjust to low quantity of food by using it efficiently. This is where good appetite comes in. The body is digesting the food efficiently. This leads to good health.
Medicine supplies what is lacking in the normal input to the body. It tries to restore declining health. Body also needs clothing to protect it from harsh environment. Grooming and personal hygiene is necessary to protect oneself against bacterias and viruses.
The next level seems to be made up of the following words:
Urge to survive as individual, ego, identification, a habit, viewpoints, self-expression,
A person is made up of considerations, desires and impulses. Individuality is a unique arrangement of these components. It adds up to a certain awareness as a whole, which is called ego. Ego considers itself to be a single thing. It is not aware of its structure due to identification among considerations.
There is an overall desire to continue to exist as that ego. This becomes a habit. The ego then seems to be something permanent. It acquires certain viewpoints. It starts to express itself in a certain way.

career, certificates, diplomas, job, paycheck, house, car, vehicle, decorations, ornament,
A person is expressing his individuality through his skills and viewpoints, that makes him suited for a career. He walks that path and acquires certificates and diplomas. These get him recognized for what he is in the overall structure of the society.
Thus, he gets a job that is fulfilling for him and beneficial for the society. He gets a regular paycheck for the service he provides. He can then provide himself with a livelihood that includes house and cars.
He continues to express his individuality through the vehicles he chooses, how he decorates his house, and the ornaments he wears.

As the person continues to be a certain self or ego in the society, experiences are accumulated and a need for greater consistency is felt. Self is not something fixed; it can be improved. To improve self, a greater harmony is looked for among the considerations, desires and impulses that constitute that self.
Audting of self (ego) consists of looking at intimate considerations, desires and impulses for what they are. It also requires awareness of considerations, desires and impulses that exist in one’s environment. The idea underlying this auditing is not to resist but to let these considerations, desires and impulses readjust among themselves and become consistent and harmonious.
A lot of experimenting goes along with this auditing. This is where hobbies and studies enter into the picture to make sense out of inconsistencies one encounters along the way. Good books and internet are wonderful resource. The final product is a well rounded and consistent personality.

This seems to end a review of the first dynamic through L-10. I don’t know if Hubbard intended it this way, but KHTK seems to lead us this way.
The above is just a general summary. Each word in the above list may bring to view different inconsistencies to different individuals. One may then sort out those inconsistencies through KHTK approach of mindfulness.

So far I have sorted out the following for myself:

On skill, the first item that comes to my mind is maths and the ability it imparts to thinking systematically. I am doing well in MSCing the subject of Calculus.
Here the focus is on isolating the key concepts and clarifying the overview of the subject. I don’t need to get into the nitty gritty at the moment. I am simply addressing items in Calculus that have been pulling on my attention. I know that there are many things that I do not understand, but if they are not pulling on my attention I leave them aside.
The priority is to handle those things that are pulling on my attention.

So, what are the skills that distinguish me? What are honestly my skills? Have I pretended to have skills that I do not have? Am I fully utilizing the skills that I do have? These are very interesting questions.
I think that I like writing. I am discovering abilities in that area and I can build up on that. I think I can wrap this one (MSC on skill) up now.

It seems that MSC (Mindful Subject Clearing) takes care of overts and withholds in its stride. One doesn’t have to dig for overts and withholds. One simply looks at them fully as they come up.and acknowledge them for what they are.

Skills seems to determine one’s individuality.
So, an honest assessment of one’s skills is bound to clear up how one should look at oneself as an individual.
One may discover
(a) what others, or the society, expected of oneself.
(b) What one was forced into being through schooling or profession.
(c) What pretensions one has been putting out.
(d) And, finally, the individual one truly is.
It is not a matter of liking or disliking, or being good or bad. It is a matter of mindfully perceiving the individual one is
And that establishes the ground one can confidently start building up from.

Skill = what makes one stand out as an individual; what determines one’s individuality.

A tool implies that which facilitates the accomplishment of what one desires to achieve.
What tools have I observed? Big machines used in construction and for building roads. What tools have I used? Kitchenware… for sports and entertainment… in school learning (geometry)… in my profession…
What tools have become part of me? Thinking patterns… habits… Now this an interesting area.
Look at whatever comes up. DO NOT DIG. Just carry on to the next thing.
We are exploiting others when we are using them as tools. There should be a harmony of desires within oneself as well as in the society and nature.
Any disharmony is an inconsistency that needs to be looked at closely. In order to resolve an inconsistency one should be willing to change one’s environment as well as oneself.
In short one should be willing to let the considerations, desires and impulses level themselves out regardless of where they belong.
Using Vectors:
41,253 Full degrees of orientation can be further divided into 60 minutes per degree giving 1.4851 x 10^8 and if we divide this yet further into 60 seconds per minute, then 5.35 x 10^11 degrees of attitude. This describes quite a lot of possibilities of choices in attitude that using your idea of vectors that one may take on. And yet, on a self or beingness the size of the Earth, of these smallest described degrees of deviation, the inhabitable domain of one second of attitude still allows for one’s attituide to occupy a circular area >57 feet across or >31 meters across. Even at this smallest calculation, this leaves still quite a lot of elbow room for changing one’s mind.
I think this vector idea is a good look at thetans, personaities, and attitudes. I like this metaphor to make and view a model of the structure of a thetan, which I take to mean one’s personality. It seems consistent with 3 dimensional space, allows for movement of time, and seems consistent with 2X’s proposition of “faces” which present a reason for the different presentations of waves vs. particles. Yeah, I’m liking it and it gives me some more ideas about personality.
