Here is a detailed review of Factors # 19 to 21 from the book Scientology 8-8008.

Factor # 19: And the viewpoint can never perish; but the form can perish.

Each form has its own viewpoint expressed as its essence of properties and capabilities. All forms are connected with each other within the system of the universe. Individual form and viewpoint are a small part of a system and they survive and perish together. But the overall system of the universe, its form and its viewpoint endure as long as time itself endures.

Factor # 19 (revised): Individual forms and viewpoints may perish, but the form and viewpoint of the overall universe can never perish.

.

Factor # 20: And the many viewpoints, interacting, become dependent upon one another’s forms and do not choose to distinguish completely the ownership of dimension points and so comes about a dependency upon the dimension points and upon the other viewpoints.

The individual forms and their respective viewpoints come about as the field of beingness condenses into structures. The overall beingness is now expressed as an interconnected matrix of individual forms and their viewpoints.

A viewpoint does not own some dimension point. The dimension point describes the outer form of beingness, whereas, the viewpoint describes its inner essence. The interconnection among the forms and viewpoints is natural, but confusion  may come about, which could be difficult to sort out.

Factor # 20 (revised): There are relationships among all the individual forms and their viewpoints in the universe. However, confusion may come about among these relationships.

.

Factor # 21: From this comes a consistency of viewpoint of the interaction of dimension points and this, regulated, is TIME.

The overall beingness is eternal without beginning or end. Time accounts for the changes within the beingness. Such changes occur at variable frequencies while the beingness is evolving as a field. This gives time a variable aspect.

As the frequency of change becomes larger, the changes in frequency become less noticeable and beingness starts to condense to form discrete structures. As beingness becomes structured time acquires a fixed characteristic.

Factor # 21 (revised): As beingness becomes structured and acquires individual forms and viewpoints, TIME also acquires a fixed characteristic.

Factor # 16: The viewpoint can combine dimension points into forms and the forms can be simple or complex and can be at different distances from the viewpoints and so there can be combinations of form. And the forms are capable of motion and the viewpoints are capable of motion and so there can be motion of forms.

The elements combine by the free association of their natural properties to form complex compounds. In other words simple dimension points combine to form more complex dimension points. This happens by free association. No other agent, other than the natural properties, is involved.

The viewpoints are represented by the simple and complex identities of these elements and compounds. These identities are made up of the characteristic properties of elements and compounds.

The molecules of complex organic compounds, such as, the DNA molecule, act as molecular computers because they have enough electrons enveloping their nuclei to produce sequenced motion. This introduces self-animation to the identity of DNA molecules. Here we have the beginning of life as we see it.

Factor # 16 (revised): As dimension point evolves into complex forms, the viewpoint evolves into complex properties that bring about self-animation.

.

Factor # 17: And the opinion of the viewpoint regulates the consideration of the forms, their stillness or their motion, and these considerations consist of assignment of beauty or ugliness to the forms and these considerations alone are art.

Thus, evolution takes place from inanimate minerals to active plant life to animated animal life. The physical form and metaphysical essence develops accordingly and it reaches its pinnacle in the human identity. Art lies in the stillness or motion of these forms in infinite ways. It is the continuity and harmony of the motion involved that determines the beauty of forms.

Factor # 17 (revised): And evolution takes place from inanimate minerals to active plant life to animated animal life. Art studies their stillness or motion. Beauty lies in the continuity and harmony of their movement.

.

Factor # 18: It is the opinion of the viewpoints that some of these forms should endure. Thus there is survival.

The “opinion of the viewpoints” is actually the alignment of the form, according to their properties within the system of forms. It is the configuration of the forms, despite all complexity, and the continuity and harmony of their properties, which determines their endurance. The whole system of forms survives as one universe.

Factor # 18 (revised): It is the alignment and adjustment of the forms to the continuity and harmony of the whole system that determines their survival.

Factor # 13: The dimension points are each and every one, whether large or small, solid. And they are solid solely because the viewpoints say they are solid.

As dimension point condenses from energy field, its basic form reduces to an atom. The atom has a nucleus that is solid mass. The atom of elements has an enduring structure that can be arranged in still enduring structures as molecules of compounds.

Parallel to the above, the viewpoint also condenses from a field of emotions into structured entities. An entity has a nucleus that is a solid desire. The entities are the property of atoms that combine to form more complex identities of molecules.

Factor # 13 (revised): Beingness condenses into enduring structures, which we see as dimension points of atoms and molecules, and viewpoints of their corresponding identities.

.

Factor #14: Many dimension points combine into larger gases, fluids or solids. Thus there is matter. But the most valued point is admiration, and admiration is so strong its absence alone permits persistence.

The atoms combine into molecules. These molecules exist in gaseous, liquid or solid state at normal temperatures. The molecules combine further into various forms of matter. On the other hand, entities are the structured properties of atoms. These properties evolve into more complex properties of molecules. Thus we have varied identities of matter.

The complex structure of this universe, thus, has varied physical forms and properties that impart metaphysical identities to them. Admiration is viewing this complex universe objectively for what it is. It is a feeling that champions all other feelings.

Factor #14 (revised): The dimension point evolves into complex forms of matter having gaseous, liquid and solid states. The viewpoint evolves as their identities. Admiration is viewing this wonderfully complex universe objectively for what it is.

.

Factor #15: The dimension point can be different from other dimension points and thus can possess an individual quality. And many dimension points can possess a similar quality, and others can possess a similar quality unto themselves. Thus comes about the quality of classes of matter.

The elements have similarities and differences according to which they appear in different columns of the Periodic Table. These elements combine and evolve into a variety of matter that can be classified according to the similarities and differences among them.

Factor #15 (revised): The structural diversity of this universe may be arranged into classes.

Universal Objectivity

Here is a detailed review of Factors # 12 from the book Scientology 8-8008.

FACTOR # 12: The dimension point can be moved by the viewpoint, for the viewpoint, in addition to creative ability and consideration, possesses volition and potential independence of action; and the viewpoint, viewing dimension points, can change in relation to its own or other dimension points or viewpoints. Thus comes about all the fundamentals there are to motion.

The creative ability, consideration, volition and potential independence of action are expressions of cause and effect inherent present in the overall consciousness and also in the narrower viewpoints. Just like cause and effect, the viewpoints and dimension points also come about in pairs. Neither exists without the other.

Viewpoints and dimension point occur in pairs with one-on-one correspondence.

The viewpoints are narrow because they are limiting their frame of reference to their respective dimension points. Individual dimension points are a small part of the universal context. This is the case by default. It does not have to be this way. A viewpoint may become enlarged as it starts to include other dimension points in its context.

Here we have the real meaning of exteriorization as it involves broadening of the viewpoint. This is done as follows.

  • Broaden the context by including other dimension points.
  • Broaden the viewpoint by resolving resulting inconsistencies.

Scientology talks about agreement among viewpoints. Such agreement does not broaden the viewpoints because making agreement is more like compromising. True broadening comes from completely resolving what viewpoints see as inconsistent. As viewpoints broaden they come closer to each other.

Viewpoints broaden as the inconsistencies of larger context are resolved.

Inconsistencies come about because viewpoints have fixed attention on their respective dimension points even when those dimension points are now part of a larger context. One looks at the areas of fixed attention more closely. One then resolves inconsistencies in those areas by free association and creative visualization to fill gaps.

Inconsistencies are resolved by resolving fixed attention.

Viewpoints become more objective with the broadening of context.  As the context broadens to the size of the whole universe, the viewpoint broadens to become whole consciousness. This is ultimate objectivity.

Ultimate objectivity is viewing in universal context with no unresolved inconsistencies.

Therefore, we may revise Factor 12 as follows.

FACTOR # 12: The objective viewpoint of consciousness may be restored by letting narrow subjective viewpoints consider all forms in a universal context and resolve any resulting inconsistencies.

FACTOR # 11: But there are other viewpoints and these viewpoints out-thrust points to view. And there comes about an interchange amongst viewpoints; but the interchange is never otherwise than in terms of exchanging dimension points.

Multiple viewpoints come about only after consciousness condenses into identities. Before it condenses, there is only single beingness as field of consciousness. This beingness has inner essence (viewpoint) of consciousness, and outer form (dimension point) of electromagnetic energy.

This general consciousness condenses into structured consciousness, just like the electromagnetic energy condenses into structured material. Now that there is structure, it becomes possible to have discrete forms. Each form is a dimension point that has its inner essence as a viewpoint.

As beingness condenses, there comes about multiplicity of viewpoints and dimension points.

These viewpoints are narrower than the single overall viewpoint earlier. The dimension points are lesser than the single overall existence. Each viewpoint is synchronized only with its dimension point but not with other viewpoints and dimension points. Thus come about subjectivity and a lack of consistency.

With narrow viewpoints and dimension points there comes about randomness, subjectivity and inconsistency.

A viewpoint is subjective because it is narrowly in tune with its own dimension point by default.

FACTOR # 11 (revised):  As beingness condenses from energy field to multiplicity of forms, the objective viewpoint of consciousness reduces to multiplicity of narrow subjective viewpoints.
