The Dianetics Axioms
Explanation
The axioms of Dianetics were put together by Hubbard to demonstrate the precision of Dianetics. Revisions are proposed based on establishing the consistency with the concepts of Buddhism.

DN AXIOM 1: The source of life is a static of peculiar and particular properties.
The universe, and the life in it, are full of motion. One can become fully aware of motion only from a viewpoint relatively static to it. Please see The Static Viewpoint.
DN AXIOM 1 (proposed): Life is fully experienced from a viewpoint relatively static to it.

DN AXIOM 2: At least a portion of the static called life is impinged upon the physical universe.
There is no such thing as “portion of the static” since static is not a thing. All we have is a static viewpoint. From this viewpoint we can see energy as the substance of the universe evolving into matter, minerals, unicellular organisms, plant life, animal life, and finally the human life. We see life as an integrated part of the universe. The “physical universe” and “life” are not separate from each other. They operate together per the laws of nature.
DN AXIOM 2 (proposed): Life evolves from very simple to increasingly complex forms.

DN AXIOM 3: That portion of the static of life which is impinged upon the physical universe has for its dynamic goal, survival and only survival.
The universe and the forms within it have been evolving since the beginning. These forms acquired animation at some point later in this evolution. The life forms go through life cycles to evolve to higher forms. No particular life form survives permanently. The life form evolves by interacting with its environment.
DN AXIOM 3 (proposed): The life forms are surviving in order to evolve to higher forms.

DN AXIOM 4: The physical universe is reducible to motion of energy operating in space through time.
The substance of the universe is energy. Energy has inherent motion. The extents of energy appear as space, and the duration of energy appears as time. As energy condenses its extents shrink and the duration increases. The inherent motion of energy appears to slow down. This allows relative density to occur along with relative motion.
DN AXIOM 4 (proposed): The universe is reducible to relative densities and their relative motion.

DN AXIOM 5: That portion of the static of life concerned with the life organisms of the physical universe is concerned wholly with motion.
Life organisms consist of varied densities and motions. They are concerned wholly with evolution of motion.
DN AXIOM 5 (proposed): Life organisms are concerned wholly with evolution of motion.

DN AXIOM 6: The life static has as one of its properties the ability to mobilize and animate matter into living organisms.
Inanimate matter, with increase in complexity, evolves into living organisms. An organism is mobilized by its own inherent impulse.
DN AXIOM 6 (proposed): The evolution of motion leads to self-animated living organisms.

DN AXIOM 7: The life static is engaged in a conquest of the physical universe.
The separation of physical and spiritual universes is just an assumption. There is no “spiritual agent” engaged in the conquest of “physical universe”. The static viewpoint sees the natural process of the universe evolving from energy in motion to minerals to living organisms.
DN AXIOM 7 (proposed): The universe is engaged in continual evolution motion to greater order of complexities.

DN AXIOM 8: The life static conquers the material universe by learning and applying the physical laws of the physical universe.
SYMBOL: The symbol for the LIFE STATIC in use hereafter is the Greek letter THETA.
The “Life Static” is simply The Static Viewpoint. From this viewpoint all laws governing motion can be perceived in their entirety. The universe continues to evolve by trial and error with the laws of motion.
DN AXIOM 8 (proposed): The complexities evolve from the application laws of nature, which, in their turn, evolve from trial and error with motion.

DN AXIOM 9: A fundamental operation of THETA in surviving is bringing order into the chaos of the physical universe.
The universe evolves from chaos toward increasing order. The life forms are there to support and accelerate this evolution.
DN AXIOM 9 (proposed): The laws of nature evolve continually to simplify the order in the complexity of motion.

DN AXIOM 10: THETA brings order into chaos by conquering whatever in MEST may be pro-survival and destroying whatever in MEST may be contra-survival, at least through the medium of life organisms.
SYMBOL: The symbol for the PHYSICAL UNIVERSE in use hereafter is MEST, from the first letters of the words MATTER, ENERGY, SPACE and TIME, or the Greek letter PHI.
Hubbard uses THETA as a symbol for a purely “spirtual agent,” and MEST as a symbol for a purely “physical universe”. Both are assumptions that lead to an erroneous hypothesis. We observe that life organisms are bringing order to chaos according to the law of unity. This law manifests itself through the maintenance of continuity, consistency and harmony.
DN AXIOM 10 (proposed): The life organisms bring order to chaos by increasingly manifesting continuity, consistency and harmony.

Summary of Axioms 1-10
From the static viewpoint one may observe the evolution of the universe taking place from chaos to order. The order is brought about by the manifestation of continuity, consistency and harmony. This evolution results in life organisms. Further evolution of the universe, then, takes place through these life organisms.

DN AXIOM 11: A life organism is composed of matter and energy in space and time, animated by THETA.
SYMBOL: Living organism or organisms will hereafter be represented by the Greek letter LAMBDA.
Life begins in the form of DNA molecules. A DNA molecule constitutes of energy and matter. It has enough electrons to turn it into a molecular computer energized by inherent impulse. It is programmed by the environment in which it must evolve.
DN AXIOM 11 (proposed): A life organism is highly complex, self-motivated structure of energy and matter.

DN AXIOM 12: The MEST part of the organism follows the laws of the physical sciences. All LAMBDA is concerned with motion.
The inherent programming of the life organism constitutes its emotion that directs its motion. Thus a life organism is a very sophisticated system of emotion and motion. It follows the metaphysical and physical laws that apply to its configuration. The metaphysical laws apply to its programming, and the physical laws apply to its structure. These laws are well integrated with each other.
DN AXIOM 12 (proposed): The organism follows the metaphysical and physical laws of nature.

DN AXIOM 13: THETA operating through LAMBDA converts the forces of the physical universe into forces to conquer the physical universe.
DN AXIOM 13 (proposed): The living organisms contribute to the evolution of the universe.

DN AXIOM 14: THETA working upon physical universe motion must maintain a harmonious rate of motion.
The limits of LAMBDA are narrow, both as to thermal and mechanical motion.
DN AXIOM 14 (proposed): The life organism must evolve harmoniously while maintaining continuity and consistency.

DN AXIOM 15: LAMBDA is the intermediate step in the conquest of the physical universe.
DN AXIOM 15 (proposed): Life organisms are merely a step in the eventual evolution of the universe.

DN AXIOM 16: The basic food of any organism consists of light and chemicals.
Organisms can exist only as higher levels of complexities because lower levels of converters exist.
THETA evolves organisms from lower to higher forms and supports them by the existence of lower converter forms.
DN AXIOM 16 (proposed): The lowest level organisms evolves from light and chemicals. They form a food chain to sustain higher level organisms.

DN AXIOM 17: THETA, via LAMBDA, effects an evolution of MEST.
In this we have the waste products of organisms on the one hand as those very complex chemicals which bacteria make and, on the other hand, we have the physical face of the Earth being changed by animals and men, such changes as grass holding mountains from eroding or roots causing boulders to break, buildings being built and rivers being dammed. There is obviously an evolution in MEST in progress under the incursion of THETA.
DN AXIOM 17 (proposed): Life organisms bring about an evolution of the physical environment on a large scale.

DN AXIOM 18: LAMBDA, even within a species, varies in its endowment of THETA.
THETA is simply the static viewpoint. The variable is an organism’s capacity to evolve.
DN AXIOM 18 (proposed): Life organisms, even within a species, vary in their capacity to evolve.

DN AXIOM 19: The effort of LAMBDA is toward survival. The goal of LAMBDA is survival. The penalty of failure to advance toward that goal is to succumb.
DEFINITION: Persistence is the ability to exert continuance of effort toward survival goals.
This is a universe of change. A form appears, survives for some time, and then disappears. No form survives forever. Therefore, the natural goal in this universe is evolution. As forms evolve they survive better.
DN AXIOM 19 (proposed): Continued survival of life organisms depends upon their ability to evolve; the penalty of failure is extinction.

DN AXIOM 20: LAMBDA creates, conserves, maintains, requires, destroys, changes, occupies, groups and disperses mest.
LAMBDA survives by animating and mobilizing or destroying matter and energy in space and time.
DN AXIOM 20 (proposed): Life organisms evolve as they evolve their environment.

Summary of Axioms 11-20
Fundamentally, the universe is a continuous, harmonious and consistent subtle energy with innate impulse. This energy is so subtle that it appears as “empty space”. This energy evolves by condensing. This produces the electromagnetic spectrum, and eventually, matter with many different properties. Matter combines to produce complex forms that eventually become self-animated. This life organism continues to grow more complex and eventually becomes the engine for the evolution of the universe.

DN AXIOM 21: LAMBDA is dependent upon optimum motion. Motion which is too swift and motion which is too slow are equally contra survival.
Life organism must maintain a harmonious rate of progression in following the laws of nature. Sudden increase or decrease in motion, such as, the experience of shock, can hurt the progression of life organisms.
DN AXIOM 21 (proposed): A life organism is dependent upon optimum motion. Sudden increase or decrease in motion, as in shocks, is harmful to the life organism.

DN AXIOM 22: THETA and thought are similar orders of static.
There are no thoughts when the motion is optimum. Thoughts are generated only when motion is chaotic and contains anomalies.
DN AXIOM 22 (proposed): The presence of anomalies generates thought.

DN AXIOM 23: All thought is concerned with motion.
The chaotic motion contains anomalies (disharmony, discontinuity or inconsistency). The thought generated is concerned with resolving those anomalies.
DN AXIOM 23 (proposed): All thought is concerned with resolving anomalies.

DN AXIOM 24: The establishment of an optimum motion is a basic goal of reason.
DEFINITION: LAMBDA is a chemical heat engine existing in space and time motivated by the life static and directed by thought.
The resolution of anomalies brings about optimum motion characterized by continuity, consistency and harmony. Thought accomplishes that by understanding those anomalies through reason.
DN AXIOM 24 (proposed): The basic goal of reason is to establish continuity, consistency and harmony.

DN AXIOM 25: The basic purpose of reason is the calculation or estimation of effort.
The purpose of reason is to estimate the effort necessary to establish continuity, consistency and harmony.
DN AXIOM 25 (proposed): The basic purpose of reason is the resolution of anomalies.

DN AXIOM 26: Thought is accomplished by THETA FACSIMILES of physical universe, entities or actions.
The anomalous motion leaves its impression in the mental matrix. These impressions may be referred to as FACSIMILES because they are exact copies of the anomalous motion. The impressions continue until they are resolved and assimilated.
DN AXIOM 26 (proposed): Anomalous motion is impressed upon the mental matrix as FACSIMILES.

DN AXIOM 27: THETA is satisfied only with harmonious action or optimum motion and rejects or destroys action or motion above or below its tolerance band.
Evolution in this universe requires the elimination of all anomalies in motion, and establishing harmonious action or optimum motion.
DN AXIOM 27 (proposed): The facsimiles must be assimilated to establish harmonious action or optimum motion.

DN AXIOM 28: The mind is concerned wholly with the estimation of effort.
DEFINITION: Mind is the THETA command post of any organism or organisms.
The assimilation of facsimiles in the mental matrix automatically outputs the effort necessary to resolve the anomaly in motion. That is the natural function of the matrix of the mind.
DN AXIOM 28 (proposed): The mind is concerned wholly with the assimilation of facsimiles.

DN AXIOM 29: The basic errors of reason are failure to differentiate amongst matter, energy, space and time.
In the absence of assimilation, the reason is not sound. Assimilation requires the resolution of discontinuities, inconsistencies and disharmonies recorded in the facsimile. The basic errors of reason would therefore be failures to recognize anomalies of discontinuities, inconsistencies and disharmonies.
DN AXIOM 29 (proposed): The basic errors of reason are failures to recognize discontinuities, inconsistencies and disharmonies.

DN AXIOM 30: Rightness is proper calculation of effort.
The effort generated by the assimilation of facsimiles resolves the anomalies and establishes optimum motion. This is rightness.
DN AXIOM 30 (proposed): Rightness is the resolution of anomalies.

Summary of Axioms 21-30
Life organisms do best under optimum motion. When the motion becomes chaotic with anomalies it affects the life organisms. The chaotic motion is imprinted as facsimiles in the mental matrix. This generates thought. The assimilation of facsimiles, then, generates the proper effort to establish the optimum motion. This estimation of proper effort is rightness.

DN AXIOM 31: Wrongness is always miscalculation of effort.
DN AXIOM 31 (proposed): Wrongness is the failure to resolve the anomaly.

DN AXIOM 32: THETA can exert itself directly or extensionally.
THETA can direct physical application of the organism to the environment or, through the mind, can first calculate the action or extend, as in language, ideas.
DN AXIOM 32 (proposed): The life organism can exert itself directly, or indirectly through other organisms.

DN AXIOM 33: Conclusions are directed toward the inhibition, maintenance or accelerations of efforts.
DN AXIOM 33 (proposed): The organism may direct conclusions to inhibit, maintain or accelerate existing efforts.

DN AXIOM 34: The common denominator of all life organisms is motion.

DN AXIOM 35: Effort of an organism to survive or succumb is physical motion of a life organism at a given moment in time through space.
DEFINITION: Motion is any change in orientation in space.
DEFINITION: Force is random effort.
DEFINITION: Effort is directed force.
DN AXIOM 35 (proposed): None.

DN AXIOM 36: An organism’s effort can be to remain at rest or persist in a given motion.
Static state has position in time, but an organism which is remaining positionally in a static state, if alive, is still continuing a highly complex pattern of motion, such as the heartbeat, digestion, etc. The efforts of organisms to survive or succumb are assisted, compelled or opposed by the efforts of other organisms, matter, energy, space and time.
DEFINITION: Attention is a motion which must remain at an optimum effort. Attention is aberrated by becoming unfixed and sweeping at random or becoming too fixed without sweeping. Unknown threats to survival when sensed cause attention to sweep without fixing. Known threats to survival when sensed cause attention to fix.
DN AXIOM 36 (proposed): None.

DN AXIOM 37: The ultimate goal of LAMBDA is infinite survival.
DN AXIOM 37 (proposed): The ultimate goal of living organisms is to contribute to evolution.

DN AXIOM 38: Death is abandonment by THETA of a life organism or race or species where these can no longer serve THETA in its goals of infinite survival.
DN AXIOM 38 (proposed): Death is a normal part of a life cycle in the overall scheme of evolution.

DN AXIOM 39: The reward of an organism engaging upon survival activity is pleasure.
DN AXIOM 39 (proposed): An organism engaged in an evolutionary activity feels joy.

Life organisms evolve by resolving the anomalies life cycle after life cycle. It feels joy when an anomaly is resolved. It feels pain upon failure to resolve an anomaly.

DN AXIOM 46: Colonial aggregations of viruses and cells can be imbued with more THETA than they inherently contained.
Life energy joins any group, whether a group of organisms or group of cells composing an organism. Here we have personal entity, individuation, etc.
The innate impulse of energy evolves from inanimate properties of minerals through viruses and cells to animated organisms. Aggregation of animated organisms into colonies that are acting together as a smoothly functioning organization is a step forward in terms of evolution.
DN AXIOM 46 (proposed): Colonial aggregations of viruses and cells acquire greater abilities.

DN AXIOM 47: Effort can be accomplished by LAMBDA only through the coordination of its parts toward goals.
DN AXIOM 47 (proposed): Living organisms put out greater effort toward evolution through the coordination of their parts.

DN AXIOM 48 (proposed): With evolution the control of an organism get centralized in a mind.

DN AXIOM 49: The purpose of the mind is to pose and resolve problems relating to survival and to direct the effort of the organism according to these solutions.
DN AXIOM 49 (proposed): The purpose of the mind is to keep all sensations well assimilated so that any anomalies are quickly resolved.

DN AXIOM 50: All problems are posed and resolved through estimations of effort.
DN AXIOM 50 (proposed): All problems are posed and resolved through assimilation.

Summary of Axioms 41-50
As energy evolves, its inherent impulse evolves too. It evolves into the “life” of the life organisms. “Life” is the coordinated motion of energy forms from the lowest to highest configurations. The center of such coordination of motion appears as the mind. The purpose of the mind becomes the assimilation of all sensations, and the resolution of anomalies that interfere with that coordination.

DN AXIOM 52: An organism proceeding toward survival is directed by the mind of that organism in the accomplishment of survival effort.

DN AXIOM 53: An organism proceeding toward succumb is directed by the mind of that organism in the accomplishment of death.

DN AXIOM 54: Survival of an organism is accomplished by the overcoming of efforts opposing its survival. (Note: Corollary for other dynamics.)
DN AXIOM 54 (proposed): None.

DN AXIOM 55: Survival effort for an organism includes the dynamic thrust by that organism for the survival of itself, its procreation, its group, its subspecies, its species, all life organisms, material universe, the life static and, possibly, a Supreme Being. (Note: List of dynamics.)
In the list of dynamics, Supreme Being is the ultimate goal of evolution, and life static is the static viewpoint from which all motion can be viewed without alteration. Attainment of a static viewpoint is the immediate goal that makes the ultimate goal possible. Rest of the dynamics provide different dimensions of evolution.
DN AXIOM 55 (proposed): An organism evolves along its various dynamics.

DN AXIOM 56: The cycle of an organism, a group of organisms or a species is inception, growth, re-creation, decay and death.
DN AXIOM 56 (proposed): The cycle of inception, growth, re-creation, decay and death applies on all dynamics.

DN AXIOM 57: The effort of an organism is directed toward the control of the environment for all the dynamics.
DN AXIOM 57 (proposed): The effort of the organism is directed toward the evolution of the environment for all its dynamics.

DN AXIOM 58: Control of an environment is accomplished by the support of pro-survival factors along any dynamic.
DN AXIOM 58 (proposed): Evolutionary efforts along any dynamic also contribute to the evolution of the environment.

DN AXIOM 59: Any type of higher organism is accomplished by the evolution of viruses and cells into forms capable of better efforts to control or live in an environment.
DN AXIOM 59 (proposed): Evolution to higher organisms includes evolution of the environment for compatibility.

DN AXIOM 60: The usefulness of an organism is determined by its ability to control the environment or to support organisms which control the environment.
DN AXIOM 60 (proposed): An organism is as useful as it is able to synchronize with the environment and other organisms in it.

Summary of Axioms 51-60
An organism evolves by overcoming counter-efforts in its environment to itself and its dynamics. That results in the evolution of the environment as well. Thus, the organism and its environment evolve in sync with each other.

DN AXIOM 61: An organism is rejected by THETA to the degree that it fails in its goals.
DN AXIOM 61 (proposed): An organism becomes extinct to the degree it fails to evolve or support evolution.

DN AXIOM 62: Higher organisms can exist only in the degree that they are supported by the lower organisms.

DN AXIOM 63: The usefulness of an organism is determined by the alignment of its efforts toward survival.

DN AXIOM 64: The mind perceives and stores all data of the environment and aligns or fails to align these according to the time they were perceived.
DEFINITION: A conclusion is the THETA FACSIMILES of a group of combined data.
DEFINITION: A datum is a THETA FACSIMILE of physical action.
All perceptions received in the mind are assimilated in a mental matrix. Any perception that cannot be assimilated stays as a recording waiting to be assimilated. Conclusions are the signals emanating from the mental matrix.
DN AXIOM 64 (proposed): The perceptions arriving at the mind are either assimilated in the mental matrix, or they remain as a recording yet to be assimilated. The signals emanating from the mental matrix act as conclusions.

DN AXIOM 65: The process of thought is the perception of the present and the comparison of it to the perceptions and conclusions of the past in order to direct action in the immediate or distant future.
COROLLARY: The attempt of thought is to perceive realities of the past and present in order to predict or postulate realities of the future.
The process of thought is mainly the activation of certain associations of the perceptual elements in the matrix. The present is the moment of real time input of perceptions. The assimilation of perceptions continually outputs signals to the body as directions to be followed.
DN AXIOM 65 (proposed): The process of thought occurs simultaneous to the assimilation of input to the mental matrix. The assimilation ensures there are no discontinuities, inconsistencies and disharmonies.

DN AXIOM 66: The process by which life effects its conquest of the material universe consists in the conversion of the potential effort of matter and energy in space and through time to effect with it the conversion of further matter and energy in space and through time.
DN AXIOM 66 (proposed): The process by which universe evolves consists in the conversion of the potential effort of matter and energy to effect further conversion of matter and energy. Life is a part of this process.

DN AXIOM 67: THETA contains its own THETA UNIVERSE effort which translates into MEST effort.
DN AXIOM 67 (proposed): The signals from the mental matrix translate into physical efforts of the body.

DN AXIOM 68: The single arbitrary in any organism is time.
DN AXIOM 68 (proposed): An arbitrary consists of the assumption or projection made during the assimilation of perceptions to maintain continuity, consistency and harmony.

DN AXIOM 69: Physical universe perceptions and efforts are received by an organism as force waves, convert by facsimile into THETA and are thus stored.
DEFINITION: Randomity is the misalignment through the internal or external efforts by other forms of life or the material universe of the efforts of an organism, and is imposed on the physical organism by counter-efforts in the environment.
The physical universe is perceived through the sense organs. These perceptions break down and get assimilated in the mental matrix and are thus stored. The misalignment existing in these perceptions requires resolution before they can be assimilated. Pain and efforts provide measures of misalignment. The source of this misalignment is the existing state of the physical universe and the life in it.
DN AXIOM 69 (proposed): The perceptions break down and get assimilated in the mental matrix. Pain and efforts provide the measure of misalignment to be resolved.

DN AXIOM 70: Any cycle of any life organism is from static to motion to static.
DN AXIOM 70 (proposed): The life organism takes birth, lives and ultimately dies. Its goal is to attain the static viewpoint and evolve.

Summary of Axioms 61-70
The primary goal of the life organisms is to accelerate the evolution of the universe. This is accomplished by resolving all the misalignment extant in the universe. For this, the life organism must attain the static viewpoint first. An organism becomes extinct to the degree it fails to evolve or support evolution.

DN AXIOM 71: The cycle of randomity is from static, through optimum, through randomity sufficiently repetitious or similar to constitute another static.
A static has either no form or it has a balanced form that is continuous, consistent and harmonious.
DN AXIOM 71 (proposed): Randomity starts from the disturbance of a formless static, and ends with a static of balanced form.

DN AXIOM 72: There are two subdivisions to randomity: data randomity and force randomity.
DN AXIOM 72 (proposed): Randomity exists in the misalignment of the data matrix and the effort extended.

DN AXIOM 73: The three degrees of randomity consist of minus randomity, optimum randomity and plus randomity.
DEFINITION: Randomity is a component factor and necessary part of motion, if motion is to continue.
DN AXIOM 73 (proposed): Randomity is the misalignment that induces motion toward alignment. It can be too little, just right or too much.

DN AXIOM 74: Optimum randomity is necessary to learning.
DN AXIOM 74 (proposed): Randomity has to be just right for learning to take place.

There is randomity (misalignment) in the perceptions that prevent them from being assimilated in the mental matrix. These are engrams that generate aberrations in the organism. Upon handling and assimilating these engram, the organism becomes aware of the randomity in the environment. These are anomalies that must be resolved for evolution to occur. The organism then resolves these anomalies by directing its physical efforts in the environment.

Past randomity exists in the form of unassimilated perceptions that are waiting in a holding area to be sorted out. These unassimilated perceptions can insert themselves in the circuits of the mental matrix causing aberrations.

When normal perception arrive at the mental matrix that are similar to the contents of the engram in the holding area, they get associated with the engram while also assimilated into the matrix. This way the engram, while still not assimilated, gets hooked into the matrix.

“Theta facsimile” is the term used by Hubbard for perceptions made up of perceptual elements. In an engram, these perceptual elements are so misaligned that that they cannot be assimilated in the mental matrix without special effort.

Optimum randomity is processed by an assimilated and fully aware mental matrix. Perceptions with plus and minus randomity cannot be immediately assimilated so they become part of a holding area. Such perceptions, when they have sufficient force, are known as engrams. Engrams can get locked into the circuits of the mental matrix through similar perceptions, but of optimum randomity. Once locked in, the engrams can impose themselves on the organism through the mechanism of restimulation. Restimulation occurs whenever perceptions similar to the contents of the engram appear in the environment. A locked engram is like a misalignment embedded in the mental matrix that operates below awareness because it is not assimilated. Therefore, under restimulation of the Engram, the person appears to be acting in an irrational haze, which may be compared to unconsciousness. The emotional response of the organism is free when the randomity is optimum, but, upon restimulation of an engram, its response becomes fixed according to the engram.

DN AXIOM 101: Language depends for its force upon the force which accompanied its definition. (Note: Counter-effort, not language, is aberrative.)
This encourages one to look deeply at, and meditate on, the origin of words, especially those used in the dramatization of engrams.

DN AXIOM 102: The environment can occlude the central control of any organism and assume control of the motor controls of that organism. (Engram, restimulation, locks, hypnotism.)
The environment can take control of an organism through an engram. When the engram is restimulated its circuit controls the organism. Since the engram is not assimilated in the mental matrix (the control center of the organism), but uses its circuits, the organism’s awareness is bypassed. The organism can helplessly watch itself being controlled by some mysterious source. Hypnotism operates in a similar way.

DN AXIOM 103: Intelligence depends on the ability to select aligned or misaligned data from an area of randomity and so discover a solution to reduce all randomity in that area.
Data that appears to be aligned in a local context could be part of a considerable misalignment that is visible only when viewed in a larger context. Intelligence lies in discovering this relationship and cleverly using that small “visible” data to resolve the large “hidden” misalignment in that area.

DN AXIOM 104: Persistence obtains in the ability of the mind to put solutions into physical action toward the realization of goals.
The overall goal, of course, is evolution. The mind achieves this goal by persisting in putting solutions into physical action.

An arbitrary factor or force is one that completely disregards natural laws. Underlying all alignments are the natural laws. Anything that conflicts with these natural laws will bring about misalignment and unpredictability.

Self-determinism has to do with affinity (continuity), reality (consistency) and communication (harmony). Perfect conditions occur when all perceptions are assimilated. The organism then operates naturally. Aberration comes about when the organism aligns itself with some non-optimum source, which generates discontinuity, inconsistency and disharmony within it.

DN AXIOM 121: Every thought has been preceded by physical action.
The actions of a life organism are the result of signals from the mental matrix. The signals are the result of free association in mental matrix of perceptions being received. Perceptions are the result of the interaction of attention with the environment. Putting attention on the environment is part of action. We do know that the life organism is evolving while bringing order to its environment.
DN AXIOM 121 (Proposed): Thought and actions flow together to bring order and evolution.

DN AXIOM 122: The mind does with thought as it has done with entities in the physical universe.
The environment consists of random efforts. These random efforts are perceived by the life organisms. The mental matrix assimilates these perceptions bringing alignment to them through free association. The resulting signals are converted by the body into actions that align the efforts in the environment. The whole cycle aligns the random efforts in the environment.
DN AXIOM 122 (Proposed): The life organism aligns efforts in the environment the same way that the mind aligns thoughts.

DN AXIOM 123: All effort concerned with pain is concerned with loss.
Organisms hold pain and engrams to them as a latent effort to prevent loss of some portion of the organism. All loss is a loss of motion.
The common denominator between pain and loss is the large amount of misalignment that are preventing the perceptions from being assimilated in the mental matrix. The misalignment and the resulting pain and loss stay in place until resolved. Therefore, the organism is simply facing difficulty in resolving the misalignment; it is not holding on to the pain and engrams.
DN AXIOM 123 (Proposed): All effort concerned with pain and loss is concerned with assimilating misaligned perceptions.

DN AXIOM 124: The amount of counter-effort the organism can overcome is proportional to the THETA endowment of the organism, modified by the physique of that organism.
The organism overcomes efforts counter to its own efforts by bringing alignments among them. The success of this depends on the past experience in that area, the existing alignment within the mental matrix, and the coordination between the mind and the body.
DN AXIOM 124 (Proposed): The amount of counter-effort the organism can overcome is proportional to the assimilation of its experience and the coordination of the body.

DN AXIOM 125: Excessive counter-effort to the effort of a life organism produces unconsciousness.
COROLLARY: Unconsciousness gives the suppression of an organism’s control center by counter-effort.
DEFINITION: The control center of the organism can be defined as the contact point between THETA and the physical universe and is that center which is aware of being aware and which has charge of and responsibility for the organism along all its dynamics.
The perceptions of excessive counter-effort cannot be assimilated upon arriving at the mental matrix because the misalignment is too great. Therefore, those perceptions are not available to the mental matrix. This results in lack of consciousness of what is taking place. If this continues, the person may go into a dreamlike state.
DN AXIOM 125 (Proposed): Excessive counter-effort to the effort of a life organism produces unconsciousness because the perceptions of excessive counter-effort cannot be immediately assimilated in the mental matrix.

DN AXIOM 126: Perceptions are always received in the control center of an organism whether the control center is in control of the organism at the time or not.
This is an explanation for the assumption of valences.
The awareness of the organism lies in the assimilated condition of the mental matrix that interfaces with the body circuits. When the perception of excessive counter-efforts cannot be assimilated, they form their own “alt-mental matrix” and develop their own separate interface with the body circuits. The alt-mental matrix serves as alternate awareness of a valence (alternate personality).
DN AXIOM 126 (Proposed): Misaligned perceptions from excessive counter-efforts may generate an alternate awareness with its own control center.

DN AXIOM 127: All perceptions reaching the organism’s sense channels are recorded and stored by THETA FACSIMILE.
DEFINITION: Perception is the process of recording data from the physical universe and storing it as a THETA FACSIMILE.
DEFINITION: Recall is the process of regaining perceptions.
Perception is the process of capturing data from the environment through the sense channels. All perceptions reaching the organism’s sense channels are forwarded to the mental matrix for assimilation. Upon assimilation the perceptions become part of one’s awareness. Those perceptions that are not assimilated remain in their raw recorded form and one is not aware of them. Assimilated perceptions can easily be reconstructed in the mental matrix upon recall. The unassimilated perceptions influence the organism causing aberrations, and they cannot be recalled easily.
DN AXIOM 127 (Proposed): Data from environment is converted into perceptions by the sense channels, which is then assimilated in the mental matrix. Assimilated perceptions are regained through reconstruction upon recall.

The perceptions are recorded by the sense channels but the organism is not aware of them until they are assimilated in the mental matrix. Perceptions containing plus and minus randomity are difficult to assimilate, and therefore they become “occluded.” Such unassimilated perceptions cannot be recalled.

The force of impact which gives a person an engram is a counter-effort. The perceptics are the sense messages that arrive at the mental matrix from the sense organs but they are difficult to assimilate.

DN AXIOM 132: The random counter-efforts to an organism and the intermingled perceptions in the randomity can re-exert that force upon an organism when restimulated.
DEFINITION: Restimulation is the reactivation of a past counter-effort by appearance in the organism’s environment of a similarity toward the content of the past randomity area.
The engram of random counter-efforts stays in a holding area when it cannot be assimilated in the mental matrix. Similar perceptics when they arrive from the environment and get assimilated, may form a bridge to the engram. That allows the counter-efforts of the engram to enter the mental matrix and impinge on the organism. This mechanism is called restimulation.

DN AXIOM 133: Self-determinism alone brings about the mechanism of restimulation.
Self-determinism is the function of the mental matrix. Restimulation occurs because perceptics similar to the counter-effort are active in the mental matrix. The unassimilated counter-efforts simply ride on them and appear to be coming from the perceptics within the mental matrix.

DN AXIOM 134: A reactivated area of the past randomity impinges the effort and the perceptions upon the organism.
Counter-effort reactivated by the presence of similar activated content in the mental matrix then impinges upon the organism

The perceptions are those from the environment and not from the engram, but then pain is from the reactivation of the counter-efforts in the engram. These counter-efforts also modify the effort of the organism.

The perceptics from environment remain as recordings until they are assimilated in the mental matrix. The force of the counter-effort remains as long as they are not completely assimilated.

The unassimilated perceptics of the counter-effort contain the impressions of personalities involved in the engram. The force that impinges on he organism through the mental matrix contains the impressions of these personalities that color the “I” of the mental matrix.

DN AXIOM 138: Aberration is the degree of residual plus or minus randomity accumulated by compelling, inhibiting or unwarranted assisting of efforts on the part of other organisms or the physical (material) universe.
Aberration is caused by what is done to the individual, not what the individual does, plus his self-determinism about what has been done to him.
Other organisms and the physical universe are part of the environment. Therefore, efforts and counter-efforts cause plus and minus randomity that appear as misalignments in the efforts of the organism. These misalignments are the aberrations displayed by the organism. The mental matrix, with the engramic contents not assimilated cannot do anything about these aberrations. The only solution is the assimilation of the engramic content.

DN AXIOM 139: Aberrated behavior consists of destructive effort toward prosurvival data or entities on any dynamic, or effort toward the survival of contrasurvival data or entities for any dynamic.
Aberrated behavior is not targeting anybody or anything. It is simply irrational and disorderly.

DN AXIOM 140: A valence is a facsimile personality made capable of force by the counter-effort of the moment of receipt into the plus or minus randomity of unconsciousness.
A valence is the coherence among counter-efforts, which appears as a “personality”. It forms a package of coherent perceptions that cannot be aligned with the mental matrix. The original “personality” of the mental matrix is aligned with the natural laws, but a valence is not. The surrounding universal matrix represents those natural laws.

The perceptics are the sense messages that arrive at the mental matrix from the sense organs but they are difficult to assimilate. They remain in a holding area as an engram. Similar sense messages when they arrive from the environment and are assimilated, may form a bridge to the engram. That allows the force of the engram to enter the mental matrix and impinge on the organism. This is restimulation.
Restimulation occurs because sense messages similar to the engram have access to the mental matrix. The force of the unassimilated engram simply rides on them and appears to be coming from the mental matrix itself. Therefore it appears as something self-determined. The perceptions are those from the environment and not from the engram, but then pain is from the engram, and its force modifies the effort of the organism.
The sense messages from environment remain as recordings until they are assimilated in the mental matrix. The force of the engram continues to ride on them. The unassimilated engram contain the impressions of personalities involved in the traumatic incident. The force that impinges on the organism contains the impressions of these personalities that color the “I” of the mental matrix.
Other organisms and the physical universe are part of the environment. Through restimulation, they cause misalignments in the efforts of the organism that appear as aberrations. The mental matrix cannot do anything about these aberrations short of assimilating the engramic content. The aberrated behavior is not really intentional. It is simply irrational and disorderly.
A valence is part of the force from the engram, which appears as a “personality”. The original “personality” of the mental matrix is aligned with the natural laws of the surrounding universal matrix, but a valence is not.

DN AXIOM 141: A control center effort is aligned toward a goal through definite space as a recognized incident in time.
The mental matrix forms the control center of the organism. It operates optimally when in sync with the natural laws. Its primary goal is to evolve by resolving anomalies as it comes across them.

DN AXIOM 142: An organism is as healthy and sane as it is self-determined.
The environmental control of the organism motor controls inhibits the organism’s ability to change with the changing environment, since the organism will attempt to carry forward with one set of responses when it needs by self-determinism to create another to survive in another environment.
Everything operates according to the laws of nature. The environment seems to control the organism only when the organism is unable to assimilate the effects of the environment. That is an anomaly.
DN AXIOM 142 (Proposed): An organism is as healthy and sane as it is able to resolve anomalies in real time.

DN AXIOM 143: All learning is accomplished by random effort.
At the beginning of evolution, learning was accomplished by random efforts of trial and error. As natural laws evolved, the effort became mainly to understand and apply the natural laws. Random effort was required only when natural laws needed to be extended to resolve anomalies fully.
DN AXIOM 143 (Proposed): All learning is accomplished by knowing natural laws and resolving anomalies.

DN AXIOM 144: A counter-effort producing sufficient plus or minus randomity to record is recorded with an index of space and time as hidden as the remainder of its content.
Anything not assimilated in the mental matrix will appear to be hidden. “Recording” exists only in the form of unassimilated traumatic sensations. Space and time index is assigned only upon assimilation.

DN AXIOM 145: A counter-effort producing sufficient plus or minus randomity when activated by re-stimulation exerts itself against the environment or the organism without regard to space and time, except reactivated perceptions.
A counter-effort producing sufficient plus or minus randomity is actually the traumatic sensation that did not get assimilated. Therefore, when activated, it generates the same counter-efforts as were originally felt by the organism, without regard to space and time.

DN AXIOM 146: Counter-efforts are directed out from the organism until they are further enrandomed by the environ at which time they again activate against the control center.
Restimulation of counter-efforts makes the organism behave the same way as before, even when the environment is now different. So, additional misalignments come about that the control center must handle.

DN AXIOM 147: An organism’s mind employs counter-efforts effectively only so long as insufficient plus or minus randomity exists to hide differentiation of the facsimiles created.
The control center sends out effective guidance to the organism as long as the mental matrix is not overwhelmed by the intensity of restimulated counter-efforts.

DN AXIOM 148: Physical laws are learned by life energy only by impingement of the physical universe producing randomity, and a withdrawal from that impingement.
The laws of the universe are learned when anomalies are properly recognized and resolved.

COROLLARY: Life depends upon an alignment of force vectors in the direction of succumb and the nullification of force vectors in the direction of survive in order to succumb.
The ultimate goal is evolution. Survive and succumb depends upon whether the organism is able to resolve anomalies or not.

DN AXIOM 150: Any area of randomity gathers to it situations similar to it which do not contain actual efforts but only perceptions.
An area of randomity is an area of misalignment and confusion. It gathers to it similar perceptions by association.

The mental matrix forms the control center of the organism. Its primary goal is to evolve by being fully aware of the natural laws and to keep learning by resolving anomalies in real time. The environment seems to control the organism only when the organism fails to assimilate the effects of the environment. Anything not assimilated is hidden from awareness, but it upsets the functioning of the organism and generates anomalies. Resolution of anomalies assimilates the effects of the environment. An organism is as healthy and sane as it is able to resolve anomalies in real time.

DN AXIOM 156: Loss of prosurvival matter and energy or organisms in space and time means decreased motion.
DN AXIOM 157: Acquisition or proximity of matter, energy or organisms which assist the survival of an organism increases the survival potentials of an organism.
DN AXIOM 158: Acquisition or proximity of matter, energy or organisms which inhibit the survival of an organism decreases its survival potential.
DN AXIOM 159: Gain of survival energy, matter or organisms increases the freedom of an organism.
DN AXIOM 160: Receipt or proximity of non-survival energy, matter or time decreases the freedom of motion of an organism.

This is a primary source of invalidation, and it is also a primary source of aberration.
