SIXTH DYNAMIC
The Sixth dynamic adds SUBSTANCE to the system of postulates to make the knowable universe known and felt.

MOTION
Motion is self-actuated and inherently free aliveness as observed in the motion of light and the electrons. It is infinite when when it is free. Motion becomes bounded and finite when it is cyclic. With the increase of cycles, the motion becomes increasingly centered. It then takes force to move it away from that centeredness. That resistance of motion to being changed is called inertia. Pure motion is an absence of cycles and inertia.

INERTIA
Inertia is the tendency of the motion to continue in its course. Any effort to change that course is met with resistance. Inertia is caused by the cyclic nature of motion. The cycles make the motion centered and finite. As the cycles increase in frequency, the motion becomes more centered and finite. This increases the inertia of motion. In fact, inertia may be measured in terms of frequency of motion.

Inertia is manifested only when the course of motion changes, as during an impact. There is an acceleration or deceleration of motion. This phenomena of inertia underlies the sense of touch. It also underlies during any contact, such as, between the eye and light.

FORCE
Force is the manifestation of acceleration or deceleration in motion caused by a change in frequency. This is sensed in our very being. It underlies all our physical senses. All our perception is based on force. Any sense of substantialness comes from impacts on our sense organs. The impact is always in the form of force. This is what defines any substance.

This was Faraday’s view of force. Maxwell defined it mathematically as “the tendency of a body to pass from one place to another,” that depended upon “the amount of change of tension which that passage would produce.” Unlike Faraday, Maxwell did not relate force directly to the nature of substance.

SUBSTANCE
Substance is anything that is substantial enough to be sensed. It forms the reality of the universe. The substance may be divided broadly into: (1) cognitive, and (2) physical. The cognitive substance may be divided into (a) thought, and (b) postulates. The physical substance may be divided into (a) energy, and (b) matter. The substance that we are most certain about is matter. Substance has the key properties of: consistency, space, and time.

CONSISTENCY
Consistency is the measure of the substantiality of substance. It applies to “energy substance” before it gets condensed into atoms. After condensation consistency is recognized in terms of density, firmness, or viscosity. We may say, “Honey has higher consistency than water.”

For “energy substance” consistency is measured per quantum, where quantum is determined by frequency. For material substance consistency is measured by unit mass, where unit mass is determined by the smallest particle of discrete inertia, such as, proton or neutron.

Similarly, we may say that consistency applies to “thought substance” before it gets condensed into postulates. The units of consistency for cognitive substance are yet to worked out.

SPACE
Space means the extents that are occupied by a substance of certain consistency. The unit of space is a particle. The particle of mass is a “neutron,” which is very small. The particle of electricity is electron, which is 1836 times bigger than the neutron. The particle of light is a photon, which is about 3 x 10^8 times bigger than a neutron. The particle of gravity is probably the size of the universe. The particle size is probably proportional to the wavelength of the substance. Thus, there is no space that is “empty” of substance. The characteristic of space changes with the substance that occupies it.

TIME
Time means the duration of a particle. This is a measure of duration relative to the duration of the particle of mass, which is considered to be infinite. Time as duration is most likely proportional to the frequency. Therefore, the time of the electron is less than the time of the neutron. And the time of a photon is still much less. The characteristic of time changes with the substance whose duration it represents. The lesser is the duration, the faster is the “speed.” More details need to be worked out here based on these basics.

CYCLES
A cycle any complete round or series of occurrences that repeats or is repeated.

FREQUENCY
Frequency is the rate of occurrence of the cycles. Any substance has a frequency, which is the measure of its consistency. The higher is the frequency, the more substantial is the substance. With increase in frequency the space (particle size) of the substance shrinks and its time (duration) becomes more enduring.

COGNITIVE SUBSTANCE
The cognitive substance may be visualized as thought. As thoughts become increasing consistent they precipitate into postulates. Considerations are continuing postulates. A system of postulates comes together to form our beingness and viewpoint. From viewpoint come ideas. The cognitive substance is sensed by our mind. It is responsible for our awareness. It has been referred to as consciousness or theta.

PHYSICAL SUBSTANCE
The primary examples of physical substance are light and matter. Light is called radiative energy that has a whole spectrum based on frequency from gravity to electrons. Energy substance of the same consistency may coalesce together and flow like fluids. As energy substance becomes increasingly consistent it precipitates into particles of matter. The consistency of matter is so high that it is placed in a special category called mass. The atoms of the same consistency do not coalesce together, instead they combine to form rigid structures called molecules. Atoms, molecules and larger particles of matter have a property called “center of mass” or CM. CM makes matter particles appear visibly discrete.

SPECTRUM OF SUBSTANCE
The gradient of increasing consistencies gives us a spectrum of substance. At the bottom we have the ephemeral thought of infinitesimal consistency. Above it, we have the invisible energy of imperceptible consistency. At the top, we have the visible matter of tangible consistency.

GROUND STATE (VOID)
At the bottom of the spectrum of substance is the theoretical Ground state. This state is also referred to as the Void. In this state there is no cyclic motion. Therefore, there is no inertia, substance, consistency, space or time. One cannot be aware of this state because awareness starts with inertia.

GRAVITY
The “particle” of gravity is the whole space that contains the universe. Thus, gravity forms the ‘static’ background for the rest of the universe. Gravity is the purest form of physical force. It is the basis of all substance. On the spectrum of substance, gravity is just above ground state. The gravitational field manifests as space. As the gravitational field condenses it transitions into radio waves at some point. Radio waves form the bottom of electromagnetic spectrum. At the top of the electromagnetic spectrum are gamma rays. Gamma rays condense into the electronic region of the atom. This electronic region finally condenses into the nucleus of the atom. Thus, gravity finally condenses into atoms, from which all matter is formed. Gravity, as space, is lower than light on the spectrum of substance. That means, the consistency of gravity is much less than that of light; and a gravitational disturbance has much greater speed than that of light. Thus, gravitational effects are expected to travel in the universe much faster than light.

PARTICLE
A particle is a unit of substance whose size is proportional to its wavelength. Electron as a particle is 2000 times bigger than a proton. Photon as a particle is more than 200,000 times bigger than an electron. The boundary of a particle is determined by the cycles of motion of which it is constructed. A particle has the property of centeredness, which is proportional to its frequency. This centeredness is manifested as inertia when attempt is made to change its inherent motion.

SPEED
The concept of speed applies to a particle. The measure of absolute speed of a particle is inverse of its centeredness. Since the “particle” of gravity is least centered, its speed is infinite. This means that the particle of gravity is manifested instantly at any location in the universe. Thus, speed has the sense of the rapidity with which a particle is manifested at a location after being manifested at another location.

ENERGY
Energy is a mathematical concept derived from force. It is a mathematical function, much like the “lagrangian” and “hamiltonian” functions.

CAUSE PRINCIPLE
Substance has inherent motion as well as inherent inertia. The balance of motion and inertia results in a unique speed, such as the “speed of light.” As inertia increases, such as, from light to electron to neutron, the speed decreases. An imperceptible change in inertia seem to result in large perceptible change in speed or motion. All the self-actuated motion of life is, thus, caused by imperceptible shifts in inertia. This is the cause principle underlying the movements of the body as brought about by thought. With evolution, substance has acquired sophisticated structure of body and mind. The mind produces shifts in inertia in the form of thoughts, which then produce all the motion in the body. We may refer to this cause principle as the “inertial drive” of the body.

NOTE: The Higgs mechanism causes shifts in inertia by moving substance across the boundary of the nucleus in an atom. This will influence the inherent motion of the whole atom in principle. Here we see the interface between physics and metaphysics.

THOUGHT
Thought is the extremely light substance that has the form of motion. In contrast, the material is extremely heavy substance that has the form of inertia. It is the changing balance of “thought-material” or “motion-inertia” that produces all the activity of this universe. The most evolved form of thought is a system of completely flexible but consistent postulates. When thought gets fixated, the active “motion-inertia” balance is lost, and the activity reduces into a fixed reaction.

BEING
A being is a system of flexible but consistent postulates that has the goal of evolving.

GOAL
Goal is the prime intention or postulate.

EVOLVE
To develop gradually to a different adaptive state or condition:

The Seventh Dynamic Key words are:

Absolute, Seventh Dynamic, Oneness, Beingness, Viewpoint, Thought, Religion, God, Dimension, Duality, Cause-Effect, Static-Kinetic, Truth, Aesthetics

.

ABSOLUTE
Origin: “free, unrestricted, unconditioned.” Absolute means free from imperfection, restriction or limitation. The presence of unknowable means that  nothing is absolute in this universe. Everything is relative, conditioned and impermanent. There is no unchanging, everlasting, absolute substance like Self, Soul, or Ātman within or without. To think that you will live forever as a being is an anomaly.

SEVENTH DYNAMIC
The Seventh dynamic is the key characteristic of ONENESS of the system of postulates generated to know per the Eighth Dynamic. This characteristic of ONENESS underlies the knowable universe.

ONENESS
Oneness means that the universe is continuous, consistent and harmonious.

BEINGNESS
The components of beingness are awareness, attention and viewpoint. The broadest beingness is the Eighth Dynamic, which is everything unknowable and knowable. A narrower beingness is the Seventh Dynamic, which is ONENESS as the characteristic of the system of postulates underlying the knowable universe. As we go down the dynamics, the beingness becomes still narrower, but increasingly complex and discrete.

VIEWPOINT
The viewpoint is the “center” of a system of postulates. It is generally referred to as the frame of reference of the self (beingness). On Seventh Dynamic, the viewpoint is universal oneness. It may be compared to the omniscient God of religion. As we go down the dynamics, the viewpoint narrows until it becomes individualistic on the First Dynamic.

THOUGHT
Origin: “to know.” In the dimension of thought we have postulates, considerations, axioms, principles, theories, hypotheses, data, concepts, ideas, experiences, perceptions and sensations. All these “objects” in the dimension of thought have substance. This substance itself may be referred to as thought

RELIGION
Religion is the Seventh dynamic of a culture. It consists of a set of beliefs to which the followers of the religion are strongly devoted. The key belief is usually expressed in the form of a superhuman agency (God), which is assumed to be the cause of this universe. The beliefs are generated to understand the nature of God. Religion prescribes practices, rituals, and codes of conduct that would, hopefully, bring one closer to this understanding.

GOD
Origin: “To call, invoke.” The Semitic religions believe in one God, which implies ONENESS of creation (the universe). God personifies the cause of the universe. It is assigned infinity of attributes. God exists throughout the universe.

DIMENSION
dimension represents a continuously varying characteristic, such as, distance and temperature. The universe is made of an infinity of dimensions. A dimension can be plotted mathematically on a scale. A dimensional scale extends in two opposite directions, such as, East-West, hot-cold, etc.

DUALITY
Duality means a dual state or quality, such as, hot-cold and good-evil. A duality is formed from the two opposite ends of a dimension. To see duality simply as two opposite items omits seeing the continuity of the dimension between them. That is an anomaly. See DIMENSION.

CAUSE-EFFECT
Cause-effect is a duality. They may be looked upon as the two ends of the dimension of states of existence. On this dimension, there is a previous state followed by the next state. The previous state may be perceived as the cause, and the next state may be perceived as its effect. Thus, in a sense cause transforms into effect. Scientology, however, looks at cause-effect in terms of cause point-effect point, where the two points (or terminals) remain static and some action flows from the cause point to the effect point.

STATIC-KINETIC
Static-kinetic is a duality. The kinetic is pegged around static. For example, a confusion is “kinetic” that is pegged around the “static” of a stable datum. To bring the confusion under control one simply needs to establish a stable datum. The ultimate stable datum on the Dynamics is ONENESS, which is applied to the system of postulates. In Scientology, the ultimate stable datum is STATIC, which is defined as “an actuality of no mass, no wave-length, no position in space or relation in time, but with the quality of creating or destroying mass or energy, locating itself or creating space, and of re-relating time.”

TRUTH
Origin: “fidelity.” Truth is seeing things as they are. Truth has to do with “consistency”. Truth is seeing that the two seemingly opposite items are two ends of the same dimensional scale. The clearer is the perception the higher is the level of truth.

AESTHETICS
Aesthetics arises with harmony among dimensions. It translates into the arts.

The Eighth Dynamic Key words are:

Unknowable, Postulate, Knowable, Eighth Dynamic, Universe, Reality, Anomaly

.

UNKNOWABLE
Neither the cause nor the beginning of this universe is knowable. There is Inscrutable Power that keeps this universe running eternally; but, neither religion nor science has any clue to it. Unknowable excites the curiosity to know the true nature of things. Unknowable simply means that no matter how much you know, there is always something more to know. And that is wonderful because it makes one strive to achieve a deeper understanding.

POSTULATE
A postulate is a self-created truth based on which further reasoning is done. The purpose of postulate is to give form to the unknowable to fill the gaps in the knowable. The postulate may develop into a system of postulates and theories. Everything that we know is based on this system of postulates. To be valid, a postulate must be consistent with all other postulates.

KNOWABLE
A postulate becomes knowable when it is manifested. Therefore, knowable is something manifested that can be further defined.

EIGHTH DYNAMIC
The Eighth dynamic is the continuous transition from unknowable to knowable through the solving of anomalies. This brings about a continual sense of ecstasy. Here we have the impulse TO KNOW. In terms of knowledge, there is NOTHING ABSOLUTE in the knowable universe because the unknowable is always there.

UNIVERSE
Origin: “entire, all, literally, turned into one.” The universe refers to all that is manifested and knowable. It includes all matter, all energy, all space, all time, and all thought. In other words, the universe includes everything physical, metaphysical, real, imaginary, postulated or speculated. Nothing manifested is excluded from the universe. It is the whole existence treated as ONE.

REALITY
Origin: “actual, having physical existence.” Reality is the system of postulates that we have inherited and continue to build upon. Our reality defines the universe for us.

ANOMALY
Origin: “irregular.” An anomaly is any violation of the integrity of reality, such as, discontinuity (missing data), inconsistency (contradictory data), or disharmony (arbitrary data).

The Eighth Dynamic: Knowable and Unknowable

Reference: The Eight Dynamics

The Eighth Dynamic basically pertains to both knowable and unknowable aspects of existence.

The universe is manifested, which makes it knowable; but neither its cause nor its beginning is knowable. There is Inscrutable Power that keeps this universe running eternally; but, neither religion nor science has any clue to it.

The unknowable aspect of the eighth dynamic is personified as God, or Big Bang.

It excites the curiosity to know its true nature. Out of this curiosity come postulates and theories, and through them come the awareness and knowledge of the universe.

Unknowable simply means that no matter how much you know, there is always something more to know.

And that is wonderful because it makes one strive more to achieve a deeper understanding.

The knowable universe is manifested, which means it has substance and motion. We postulate a oneness for it, meaning it is continuous, consistent and harmonious. We postulate infinity of dimensions for it, which gives it the appearance of duality, because each dimension has two opposite ends.

Postulates are followed by more postulates and the awareness and knowledge of the universe grows.

Connections are made and the universe appears to evolve. Thus, the unknowable seems to transition into knowable, but it is never exhausted.

We find everything in this universe to be cyclic and changing continually. None of it remains the same forever. Nothing is absolute. Yet the universe remains continuous, consistent and harmonious. These are the only “static” aspects to it, if any.

The Eighth dynamic is the continuous transition from unknowable to knowable.

It is the solving of anomalies. And this brings about a sense of ecstasy. This is summarized here:

What is Unknowable?

Auditing and Meditation

Reference: Course on Subject Clearing

The first exercise in Scientology is TR0. This exercise underlies all of Scientology Tech. Auditing works only when the preclear keeps his TR0 in.

And what is TR0? It is the meditative approach to contemplating. It is confronting what is there. It is seeing things as they are. When the preclear is asked an auditing question, that is what the preclear does.

At least that is how I approached auditing and I got fast results in the beginning. It became “grinding” later because I didn’t need that process any more.

So, what is Scientology’s contribution to meditation? It is basically telling a person what to meditate on. The other part of Scientology’s contribution is to keep the person’s attention on the subject he is meditating on.

When you are prescribing to a person the subject to meditate on, the difficulty comes about in the following areas:

  1. Knowing the right subject for the person to meditate on.
  2. Keeping the person’s attention on that subject until results are obtained.
  3. Once the results are gotten, going back to step (1) again.

I was lucky to get started on Dianetic auditing. I got wonderful results in my first 40 hours of auditing, but then I was kept on Dianetic auditing for hundreds of more hours with no results. Finally I was declared Dianetics Clear. and put on Scientology Grades. I had great results right away followed by many more hours with no results. Luckily, I did not go for OT levels, which are famous for auditing that one grinds through.

If one can master the discipline of SUBJECT CLEARING, one may go through the whole Scientology bridge pretty fast with great results, on his own. I am sure of it.
