Yes… amazingly resilient people. My wife’s family was among those who were displaced. But today they all are flourishing.
Well, that was eff’d up. Gandhi: “32 years of my life’s work come to an inglorious end.”
Gandhiji’s fast is unlike any other modern leader. His willingness to be right in the thick of it without any buffer from the people or assasins alike is unique.
Compare his example of enlightened living to that of Hubbard. I really shouldn’t have referred to the two in the same paragraph.
Mass hyteria is not easy to control or manage. It is surprising what Gandhi managed to accomplish. He really took a reality-centric all inclusive view.
Today, mass hysteria is more under control in India than in Pakistan. Terrorism is an ugly face of continuing mass hysteria. It is a social disease made much worse because of weapons.
It is really painful and sad to consider. We fight one another for such poor reasons.
A search for why this is so will also reveal the secret underlying existence.
I hope so. It seems to be what we have to work with.
