Reference: Book I: Postulate Mechanics (Text Book)
The purpose of OT VII is the rehabilitation of ability to project intention. Intention is a directed commitment: a mind’s orientation toward bringing about, choosing, or sustaining some outcome. It derives from one’s postulate in an area. It recognizes things for what they are. It organizes attention, decisions, and action toward an aim.
NOTE: The sub-steps below are comments.
- Step 1: This step audits a person’s willingness to be cause and effect.
- Senior to cause and effect is the principle of harmony.
- It is natural for a person to assume beingness that is optimum for harmony.
- To assume a beingness just to be a cause or effect is arbitrary and an aberration.
- Step 2: This step audits the person’s ability to decide.
- A good decision comes from resolving a doubt or confusion for harmony.
- Step 3-5: Clear up the meaning of intention.
- Please see Glossary: Scientology
- Any intention must aim for better harmony.
- Steps 6-11: Audit past intentions and tendencies.
- Intentions must be in harmony with the postulates held.
- Intentions that are not in harmony may be rejected.
- Step 12: [Omitted]
- Step 13: Audit unknown datum through postulates.
- Step 14: Audit obedience through agreements.
- Step 15: Exercise intending consciously.
- Step 16: Audit influences on intention.
- Step 17: Exercise looking and locating objects and self.
- Step 18: Exercise consistency of thought and object.
- Step 19: Exercise consistency of intention and object.
- Step 20: Exercise consistency of location and object.
- Step 21: Exercise consistency of decision and object.
- Step 22: This is same as Step 2.
- Step 23-24: This is same as step 17.
- Step 25: This is same as step 18.
- Step 26: This is same as step 20.
- Step 27: [Omitted]
- Step 28-29: Exercise in spotting certain things.
- Step 30: Exercise locating another person and self.
- Step 31: Spotting difference between bodies.
- Step 32: Look at assumptions and reality about people.
- Step 33: Postulate perfection in given context.
- If the “perfection” violates harmony, it would be an anomaly.
- Step 34: Experience having no postulates in given context.
- This would be a reset.
- Step 35: Exercise consistency of thought and a person.
- Step 36: Exercise consistency of location and a person.
- Step 37: Exercise consistency of decision and a person.
- Step 38: [Omitted]
- Step 39: Spot an object.
- Step 40-43: Mock-up confusion, communication terminals, etc.
- These are like Grade 0 processes.
- Step 44: Exercise about appreciating human beings.
- Step 45: Havingness process
- Step 46: Spot a person or a thetan.
- Step 47: Appreciating humans in crowded places.
- Step 48: Communicating with plants and animals.
- Step 49: Practice placing intention into individuals in a crowded area.
My understanding is:
- An intention must aim for harmony and not for cause and effect.
- Recognize objects for what they are including the intention they are supposed to carry out.
- Recognize plants and animals for what they are including their inherent intentions.
- Recognize humans for what they are including their general intention.
- Recognize a person for who or what he is including his intention at that moment.
- Handle a situation with full awareness of all the intentions involved.
- Desirable intention may only be induced proportional to the active intelligence present as life.
New Version
The Pre-OT now works solo on cleaning up the body of BT/cluster masses, one area at a time, until each is clean and transparent to his perception.
This is continuation of the process called NED for OTs or NOTs (New Era Dianetics for Operating Thetans).
NOTE: To understand this we shall explore the earlier levels.
