There are eight OT Levels. These levels were researched and developed by Hubbard in the latter part of the sixties. These levels have been changed around a bit since their inception. I shall, therefore, be commenting on them in the order they were first issued. My focus shall be on what the OT Levels are all about and what techniques are used to handle it.
The whole idea underlying the OT levels is to audit a person to bring him up to a point that he can be at cause knowingly and at will over thought, life, matter, energy, space and time, subjective and objective. When a person is fixated, he is not being cause knowingly and at will. Therefore,
The goal of the OT levels is:
TO FREE UP THE MIND FROM ALL ITS IDENTIFICATIONS (FIXATIONS). UNDERLYING THESE FIXATIONS ARE DEEP MISCONCEPTIONS.

OT Level I
The OT Level I comprises of closely observing bodies and tightly packed crowds, watching people and noticing various things about them, differentiating oneself from others, etc. The auditing technique is OBNOSIS (observing the obvious). A later version of OT Level I emphasizes on looking at upsets, problems etc., from the viewpoint of others.
Therefore, on OT level I, though not so specified, there is definitely an attempt to broaden the viewpoint of the person, so he is less fixated on himself.
Observing the obvious leads to a broadening of the viewpoint, and bringing misconceptions to light from broader to finer.
In Subject Clearing, you develop such a viewpoint by exercising the The 12 Aspects of Mindfulness.

Clear and OT
On OT Level II one studies the Clearing Course Instruction booklet. At this time of development, the boundary between Clear and OT was blurred. A lot of work went into defining that boundary. It appears that,
A CLEAR is a person who has cleared all his engrams and related misjudgments but not the underlying identifications (misconceptions).
An OT is a person who is now focused on clearing up his identifications (misconceptions) on the OT levels.
The Clearing Course techniques were very complex and required above average skills. Therefore, the Clearing Course was replaced when it was recognized that people could go Clear on Dianetics. However, the Clearing Course techniques were apparently retained in a simplified form on OT Level II.

OT Level II
On OT Level II we are looking at the misconceptions starting from the earliest. The early misconceptions are very close to one’s beingness. The individual does not think they are misconceptions, instead he believes them to be his natural considerations. But he uses unnecessary force to achieve his goals. Such force is not necessary when the laws of nature are followed. The use of force means that the person is ignorant of the laws of nature.
The misconceptions affecting the beingness create very subtle charge (tension) that gradually condenses into complicated balls of confusion. Hubbard refers to this complexity of confusion as GPMs (Goals, Problem, Mass). He researched numerous permutations and combinations of basic concepts that could approximate these GPMs, and grouped them into a sequential list of items. Hubbard arranged these lists from the earliest to the latest as different GPMs. This forms the Whole Track Table.
Running the Whole Track Table is supposed to bring the misconceptions embedded in the psyche to light so they clear up. When considering the GPM items, one generally detects unreality, and goes over it again and again, until the misconception surfaces and is completely erased.
This subtle charge of misconceptions at the level of beingness is very difficult to detect with an E-meter as it is subtler than the background static. This has made the OT Level II very complicated and long to run. The Subject Clearing approach based on The 12 Aspects of Mindfulness is much faster to run and more effective.
What makes most sense about OT Level II is the following lesson:
Look at a situation from all possible views until it resolves. Don’t get fixated on your personal viewpoint.

OT Level III
An “OT technique” was finally introduced at OT Level III. The new datum introduced was that a person is not a single being, but a composite being made of BODY THETANS (BTs). These BTs are to be audited, so that they become clear and go away to pick up their own bodies.
So, the pre-OT audits these BTs one by one through the earliest engrams called “Incidents I and II” to the state of Clear. Some BTs require Grade Chart auditing before these incidents can be run. Other BTs may be stuck together into clusters and need to be unstuck before they can be audited.
Unfortunately, for a lot of people, OT Level III became not only too long but it turned into “endless auditing”. The subsequent OT levels were developed to handle this problem. The problem with OT Level III is that the body thetan is not understood as the finer identifications that corrupt the beingness.
But the underlying effort on this level is to get rid of the finer identifications (fixations) that have become part of the beingness, so that the beingness can expand to higher dynamics.
An example of this would be of getting rid of the first dynamic fixation on “eternal life”, to get back to expanding one’s goal to make this world a better place for everyone.
The idea of expanding the beingness to all dynamics is same as broadening the viewpoint to KNOW on the Know-to-Mystery scale. This requires acquisition of broader knowledge. This knowledge is to be found in the societies and cultures around the world, and not on the whole track. This is very possible today through Internet using the Subject Clearing process.

OT Level IV
OT Level IV is about “freedom from uncertainty of self”. It follows OT Level III, which was about “freedom from overwhelm”. OT Level IV attempts to correct, rehabilitate, and stabilize earlier auditing levels, especially OT Levels II & III. Obviously, these earlier OT levels have been quite rough to run.
Hubbard’s theory is that the ultimate Clear state will be attained when the basic-basic engram on the whole track is erased from a person’s case. OT Level III takes the form of erasing “Incidents I & II” from each BT attached to the person. These incidents essentially involve thetans implanting each other heavily with all kinds of force. But underlying this theory is the implicit assumption that there existed an ideal CLEAR STATE before “Incidents I & II”. Was there such an ideal state at the start of the universe? Did thetans in an ideal clear state implant each other just for fun?
All we know is that this world, over millennia, has been undergoing evolution from minerals to plants to animals to humans. Before that there was raw energy condensing into galaxies, solar systems, planets and moons. This may be summarized as “order emerging out of chaos”. It seems that the farther you go back in time, the more chaos you will find.
There may not have been a CLEAR STATE at the beginning of the universe. We simply have to consolidate the evolution attained so far to evolve further.
We cannot endlessly keep going back on the track to find a Garden of Eden. The Fall of Man is the sum total of his doubts, perplexities and confusions on all dynamics. Once, a person has resolved his traumas, he simply need to resolve his confusions through continual acquisition of knowledge. Here Subject Clearing is the right procedure.

OT Level V
OT Level V is about “Freedom from fixated introversion into MEST”, but this level, like all earlier levels, is completely dependent on a MEST device called the e-meter. The dependency on a mechanical (conditioned) device for the freeing up of conditioned thought is definitely an anomaly. In Scientology, this has led to desperate attempts like RPF (Rehabilitation Project Force), where a person is forced to work with MEST to his physical limit under stringent conditions.
Scientology is trying to handle introversion into MEST while being totally fixated on the “accuracy” of a MEST device called e-meter.
The rehabilitation of a person depends on resolving all fixations in his viewpoint. The effort throughout Scientology has been to “exteriorize the thetan from his body”, or to “resolve the fixation on the body”. When we consider “Freedom from fixated introversion into MEST”, it includes resolving the fixation on the e-meter that does not have much utility beyond the handling of traumas. The correct direction is the clearing up of doubts, perplexities and confusions through the use of study and Subject Clearing.
NOTE: The original OT Level V was replaced by NOTs (New Era Dianetics for OTs), but that did not handle the anomaly described above.

OT Level VI
The goal of original OT level VI was “Freedom from the inability to operate exterior.” It depended on going back to 1955 processes from the book CREATION OF HUMAN ABILITY. The mid-fifties were a period when Hubbard was at the height of his intuitive faculties. His outline of Scientology as presented in THE PHOENIX LECTURES is a masterpiece.
But Hubbard could not fully differentiate the handling of traumas in Dianetics from broad handling of knowledge in Scientology. He kept going back to his original theory in Dianetics, which had some success in early fifties. That theory was based on the idea of a BASIC-BASIC—which is best represented by the fall of Man from the Garden of Eden (See OT Level IV above).
But traumas in humankind are few and recent. Beyond the traumas are doubts, perplexities and confusions only. There is no ultimate trauma that caused all of man’s ills. Hubbard kept looking for this ultimate trauma but failed. See Handling the Charge.
Freedom from the inability to operate exterior depends only on freeing the viewpoint from all its fixations.
NOTE: The original OT Level VI was replaced by NOTs (New Era Dianetics for OTs) which was basically an attempt to clean up OT Level III.

OT Level VII
The goal of the original OT Levels VII and VIII was “Freedom from inability to be totally free,” and “Total cause as a being”. The action at this level was later changed to going back to OT Level III type handling of BTs. This basically shows that OT levels went into a tailspin after OT Level III led to “endless auditing”.
It seems that solo auditing on OT levels turned into random auditing without any discipline, i. e. “self-auditing”. The cause of this is explained above as, (1) a flawed theory of “Fall of Man from the Garden of Eden,” and (2) total dependence on an unthinking device—E-meter.
The conclusion may be stated as,
There is no Garden of Eden to be restored. There are simply the gains from evolution to be consolidated.
Subject clearing is the current attempt to start rehabilitating the failure of OT levels.

OT Level VIII
On OT level VIII, Hubbard struggled with the question, “Why Thetans Mock Up?”
Well, Hubbard mocked up a theory that postulated that the universe started with an ideal scene from which a departure occurred. That departure was Hubbard’s basic-basic. Hubbard was unable to find his postulated basic-basic, and so his theory failed. There may not be such an ideal scene from which the universe started. The universe could simply be evolving toward an ideal scene—part of which is Man.
All we need to do is clean up the doubts, perplexities and confusions plaguing Man, while keeping the traumas resolved. That was the approach of Buddha.
Hubbard postulated that a fundamental separation between spiritual and physical characteristics existed. On this depended his concept of THETAN. But the spirit and body happen to be one integrated system. See The Definition of MEST. The spirit manifests itself as a VIEWPOINT and this viewpoint holds certain considerations. There is no thetan compulsively mocking up pictures. See Subject Clearing Beingness.
A person is an integrated “physio-spiritual” system in which the state of awareness is represented by the VIEWPOINT.
Hubbard defines “power” as “the ability to hold a position in space”; and, therefore, according to him, a thetan must hold his position in space to be powerful. But that actually translates as the viewpoint becoming fixed; and a fixed viewpoint cannot think its way through situations. We need the individual to clean up all fixations from his considerations.
A person improves as fixations in his viewpoint are resolved.
Resolving of situations, anomalies, and confusions does not necessarily mean going back to some previously attained ideal scene. It could also lead to a new ideal scene that never existed before. This is evolution. It requires out of the box creative thinking and not a dependence on some existing viewpoint. The viewpoint itself must evolve and not merely “hold a position”.
There is no “salvation” back to some previous state. There is only evolution to higher states.
Hubbard never allowed anyone else in his organization to think creatively. He held fixedly on to his THETA-MEST theory and never questioned it. Scientology is currently “holding its position” and degenerating into a set of beliefs.
Total dependence on recall in auditing means there is no creative thinking and no evolution.

Gains on OT Levels
The gains on OT levels have been fantastic at times, but not uniformly so. I am sure the clarity of OT levels will be isolated and presented over time. Here is a sincere expression of what is possible on OT levels:

Summary
The “OT technique” that Hubbard introduced at OT Level III was not clarified fully and, therefore, it failed. The few wins that one gets on OT Levels is through the resolution of cycles mishandled earlier on Hubbard’s previous techniques.
But Hubbard’s overall brilliance as a pioneer must be acknowledged without reservation. His research in Scientology has led to many new efforts to bring improvements in the field of mind and spirit.
Hubbard wanted to make an indelible impact in the field of both science and religion. I believe he has done so. It will be amply demonstrated as we go over all his research and consolidate the discoveries. For example, when we apply Hubbard’s discoveries in the field of Logic to his flawed THETA-MEST theory, it leads to great improvements in our understanding of this universe.

NES (New Era Scientology) of Lafayette Ronald Hubbard (LRH 2.0) commits the same two errors as Scientology.
(1) Total dependence on an unthinking device—E-meter, and
(2) a flawed theory of “Fall of Man from the Garden of Eden”.
It even has an OT LEVEL IX with a creative “Incident 0” to explain the beginning of the universe. The Incident 0 follows the same fantastic pattern as the Incidents 1 and 2 discovered by the earlier Hubbard. It violates the datum that there is no fundamental separation between spiritual and physical characteristics of the universe.
NES is faced with mystery of the creation of the PRIMARY CAUSE, just like any Western religion.
The origin of God is a mystery for us. Was what before God? No man or woman got to know it during time. But God exists and Creation too, and also when we arrive to understand something about the story of our universe we cannot really find out the complete story of Creation. The light of God is a chemical agent that toghether with His Lady started Creation. She is too a chemical agent that we can compair to the sky. After their start, other Divinities came in existence by their interaction and Creation continued from them. So Creation came and come always from the interaction between a male and a female entities, by chemical reaction, also into the spiritual dimension. Here we are one with our bodies, that are one with the cosmos that is one with the universe, that is one with creation, that is one with God. Atoms move everywhere into a galaxy, and so the ones that was composing bodies upto 1 or more planets after can be on other planets to compose other physical bodies.
The true happyness for us is to know God and get His help in this and that. He helps as a great father.
The difference between Scientology and Yoga is as follows:
Scientology and Dianetics are trying to handle the earliest impressions in a person all the way down to the cellular level by attempting to discover them and bring them up to the awareness of the person. All kinds of tricks are used to reach these impressions that are buried beyond awareness.
Yoga, on the other hands, ignores all impressions. Instead it makes concerted effort to touch that dimension beyond physicality, which is the basis of all life. When a person comes into contact with this dimension, everything about that person changes because the nature takes over. The whole physical and mental systems start to adjust and realign themselves according to the laws of nature at the deepest levels.
Scientology approach works rapidly at the surface level, but then it stops. It cannot get to deeper levels as it does not have the reference point of all life. Yoga, on the other hand, goes straight to making contact with the very basis of all life.

That is your reality.
What is true for you is true for you and you only. Hold onto it. Two of ‘anything’ cannot exist in the same space at the same time.
Inner Yoga, together with sexual abstinence, is the Way to God, but cannot remove engrams from the mind.
Auditing of Ron removes engrams but is not the Way to God.
Ron was not in relation with God, that defined as a non unidentifable infinity.
OT levels are the way to the slavery to Ron, at his service for eternity, and so do not drive to a (not existing) total freedom. Into the sea org you have no more freedom at all and cannot criticize the work of Ron. No freedom of think, no of speach, not religious, but only slavery.
Only the Bridge to Clear creates persons with good mental health, but to remove engrams the Auditor with an emeter must ask to the patient a series of questions about all the possibilities of death.
Ex: did you already died for an earthquake?
And you can make a long list of questions like this to find out engrams into the patient.

By my experience, the visions of other dimensions and planes of existence of a yogi arrives after a bunch of years of sexual abstinence. Here more years are equals at more visions.

I rather approach the subject of God after charge is moved out of the way by handling incidents than to approach the subject of God with unsolved case.
You take your case (charge) with you wherever you go. Better to address it for better survival and clarity of thought wherever you go.

The Ideal Scene of Man does not lie in the past. It lies in future evolution. There never was a Garden of Eden. Hubbard legitimized speculation through his flawed “OT Research” with an E-meter.
From what i got to know from God, after the creation of this universe from a son of Him that is our Lord, the Lord made his base on the costellation of the Polar Star and created for Him and for sons and daughters physical bodies to have a direct control of the universe. This was the terrestrial paradise or Eden. But after a while a son of Him wanted to get His place to manage the universe, and for it created an army of persons to combact against Him and his army. This was the called Lucyfer into the Genesis book of the bibble. During a cosmic war, a part of the army of Lucyfer, captured from the army of the Lord, got to be sent on our planets as preasons and sent directly from the starships to the ground into big containers, but the worst of them into vulcanos. During creation, the Gods created the celestial Paradise or Heaven, for all the good universal entities that after a certain life are elegible to be there, out of reincarnations. Lucyfer, to blow at the capture of the Gods, created lower dimensions called Hells, where he saved his life. After it the Gods created lower dimensions called Purgatories, where to send in punishement entities that committ crimes out or inside physical bodies. This plane of our planet (where we are) is an upper plane of the Purgatory.
The MEST universe is not an agreed upon reality as asserted by Hubbard. It is simply what we perceive in our ignorance. The “physical” is just one dimension of the universe. Many people are very fixated on it.
Right, and here we can understand one of the many wrong definition of Ron, including “axioms and logics”. This universe born from the fragments of a superdragon that in the beginning came out into the sky. It is controversial to define the reason why, but from a Super Egg made from a Divinity, destroyed by the Lord, came out the superdragon and the Lord destroyed it, and from his fragments came out our universe.
The theta being (thetan) is an aspect of the body-mind system. It is not something separate and by itself.
There is no FAC 1 or BASIC-BASIC. The engram actually appears as a “set of anomalies” as awareness increases.

On OT III, an individual is seen as a composite of body thetans (BTs). The body thetans are run through Incident II first and then through Incident I. Incident II is an incident of heavy mass implanting. Incident I is a more basic incident of implanting. These incidents are treated as thought incidents that are hard to describe in words.
However, a better definition of the individual is as a “system of postulates” A being has essentially postulated himself into existence. He is then identified by his system of postulates. When we use this definition on OT III, we must replace the idea of a “body thetan” by the idea of a “postulate.”
The idea of auditing one’s system of postulates then means that you look at these postulates closely and audit out any anomalies among them. An anomaly is any violation of the integrity of reality, such as, discontinuity (missing data), inconsistency (contradictory data), or disharmony (arbitrary data).
So, in case of postulates, auditing would simply mean auditing out any discontinuity, inconsistency or disharmony that one spots in them. No Incident I or II are necessary.
The bunch of thetans inside the body are subatomic particles that are part of the atoms that compose it, damaged from bombs!!!!

Actually, at this stage of my understanding, I find that there is more to the story of the individual.
Awareness starts with sensations. A sensation is right at the interface between the Unknowable and knowable. It is a clue to something that needs to be defined. To define the sensation a postulate is posited.
Postulates cannot be arbitrary. They must be continuous, consistent, and harmonious with existing postulates to be real. Thus, comes about a system of postulates to define sensations realistically.
Now, a body thetan is essentially a “unit of sensation.” It resolves when the correct postulate is spotted. Therefore, an individual seems to start out as a collection of sensations, which when properly defined by a system of postulates, bring about the healed individual.
And considerations.
Is-ness, As-is-ness, Alter-is-ness, Not-is-ness.
Considerations are not the truth or reality but only impressions of the brain. It is not true that changing consideration we can change reality, otherwise life will be already changed from humanity during centuries. To know truth we must live spiritual experiences using Inner Yoga (that drives outside of us into Creation, also if it starts inside of us) and sexual abstinence, for the ascension of our energies in the direction of God. These are the religious practices of the most known religions of our planet. Kundalini and Chakras cannot move without sexual abstinence in normality. Years ago i prayed God for 1 hour to show me His face playing Inner Meditation into the Mental Void, and He did it, and now i know Him and i am very happy for ot, but if you don’t do so you cannot know Him. He shows His face only to who believe at Him and pray Him to obtain it. Ron wrote that ‘what is real for you is real’. But if you get an allucination by alchool or drugs you will see something that is not real and cannot be real. Ron forgot to search God and to get Light from Him. FLUNK TO RON!!!!! He made many mistakes for it, as the OT levels and a dark phylosophy. He wrote that a Clear is unmortal and that in top of the Bridge we become Superpowerful. So was where the unmortal and superpowerful Ron before he died? Also, he died at 74 and not at 98!!!!

Hallo, i am a man that got to be into Nirvana at the age of 16 with a spiritual experience, an active member for 3 years into the Sea Org of Ron from 23 to 26, a Yogi from the age of 30 and playing sexual abstinence from the age of 45, and i got to understand many things about Creation and the Mystery of existence during the years for those reasons.
i can report that the Bridge is fine until Clear, but after it is terrific as it is.
The Ron before his creation of the Sea Org was different from the one that created the OT levels. He was not a Saint or a Buddha but the Bridge before OT 1 is wonderful to make persons right and in good mental conditions, and his purpose was to remove engrams from the mind, but after Clear this purpose disappeared and a complicate and horrible set of Levels arrived into the Bridge.
Why? What happened? To remove engrams is needed only a checklist about all the different ways of unnatural death, that during Auditing must be run from the Auditor to the patient.
Ex: had you already dead during an earthquake?
The ways of death are many as you can meditate about all of them.
But i can say also that Ron wrote a lot of things not containing truth but only his thoughts, and for it also his phylosophy is not correct or true. It is understandable that he wanted to make lots of money with his writing to support the expansion of his Org, but why he stopped the intent to remove engrams creating complicated levels that do not go straight to the decided point to create mental sanity into the people?
By the knowledge that i got during the years, helped from God, the ot levels are an horror bullshit, used only to keep the sea org members working with the illusion of an hipotetical total freedom that do not exists, becoming always and always more and more slaves of Ron during time, after having signed a Contract for eternity at his service.

Are what engrams? Moments of pain recorded into our mind during our universal existence, from life to life, during reincarnations. But are what psychosomatic hillness? Moments of pain recorded into the minds of subatomic particles composing our bodies. They can be ereditary, coming from our father or mother. How to remove them? Whit the Checklist of questions about all the possible different ways of death that i already explained, because our body, here, is one with us, and for it we can accuse an atomic engram as our problem. The subatomic particles are michroscopic spirits or thetans in evolution. They are at the first step of evolution. The explosion of a bomb can damage them, giving to them an engram as can give it to us. During the run of the Checklist we can find engrams that are atomic but we can feel them our engrams by the fact that here we are one with our body. Anyway, using the e-meter we can detect any engram, also atomic, and using the instructions of Ron on how to use the e-meter we can remove them from our mind or from our atoms. Ways to dead can be also to be eat from the lava of a vulcano or gone into the sun with a starship for an anomaly of it, or to be eat from a cannibal or to be killed from an hurricane or a tzunami or a tornado or a weapon.
After all what i can explain about the bad qualities of Ron (that i did not knew personally), i have to admit that correct Auditing played from a correct Auditor that do correctly all the actions reported into the manual on How to use E-meter or How it works, and from the Auditors manual on How to play an Auditing Session it works very well, and the Auditor can really remove engrams from the psychofisical apparate of the patient permanently. Into those books the patient is called PC that means PreClear. After that you get one processing of Ron or maybe 2 or 3 from an Auditor, you will be already capable to audit yourself if you know How it works the E-meter. My opinion is that when you have removed the engrams (maybe only one) you feel good and you don’t need to continue with Auditing. We know that when a medicine completed his work, to continue to use it can put us back into the hillness.

Speaking with ‘standard tech’ in mind there was never an LRH release of an OT VIII level. The ‘standard bridge’ regarding levels ends with OT VII.

The concepts in Scientology are useful in the understanding of the mind (consciousness) My experience goes back to 1972 when if it were not for Scientology, I doubt I would still be present and open to new discoveries. My concept of learning comes from beingness that is constantly evolving. Whether my beingness continues after this life has yet to be determined. However, I have a sense that my awareness (beingness) will continue to further explore the universe and the higher intelligence that created it.
The beingness can expand to cover others and even everybody in this universe.
The further exploration of the universe shall continue.
