Reference: The Dianetics Axioms
L. Ron Hubbard found that man is obeying very definite laws and rules which could be set forward in axioms. The very first and most fundamental of these is: The dynamic principle of existence is survive. That is the basic axiom of Dianetics.
The original Dianetic axioms are referenced below in black.
In color are corresponding axioms as seen through Postulate Mechanics (PM).

Executive Summary 2025
The higher life organisms are supported by lower ones. Together they bring changes in the environment and to themselves toward greater oneness. This requires a harmonious rate of interaction.
The basic purpose of reason is to resolve violations of oneness in perception and understanding. These violations are anomalies, such as, discontinuities, inconsistencies, and disharmonies. The mind is the command post of the organism. It is concerned wholly with the resolution of anomalies.
The reason fails when it is fixated on (identified with) some aspect of the universe and fails to recognize anomalies. Rightness is made up of efforts that lead towards oneness.

Axioms 16-30
DN AXIOM 16: The basic food of any organism consists of light and chemicals.
Organisms can exist only as higher levels of complexities because lower levels of converters exist.
THETA evolves organisms from lower to higher forms and supports them by the existence of lower converter forms.
PM AXIOM 16: The lowest level organisms evolves from light and chemicals. They form a food chain to sustain higher level organisms.
.
DN AXIOM 17: THETA, via LAMBDA, effects an evolution of MEST.
In this we have the waste products of organisms on the one hand as those very complex chemicals which bacteria make and, on the other hand, we have the physical face of the Earth being changed by animals and men, such changes as grass holding mountains from eroding or roots causing boulders to break, buildings being built and rivers being dammed. There is obviously an evolution in MEST in progress under the incursion of THETA.
PM AXIOM 17: Life organisms effect an evolution of its environment on a large scale.
.
DN AXIOM 18: LAMBDA, even within a species, varies in its endowment of THETA.
THETA is the vector resulting from the assimilation of all inherent motion. Theta is a variable where an organism’s inherent motion is concerned.
PM AXIOM 18: Life organisms, even within a species, vary in their inherent motion and capabilities.
.
DN AXIOM 19: The effort of LAMBDA is toward survival. The goal of LAMBDA is survival. The penalty of failure to advance toward that goal is to succumb.
DEFINITION: Persistence is the ability to exert continuance of effort toward survival goals.
This is a universe of change. A form appears, survives for some time, and then disappears. No form survives forever. Therefore, the natural goal in this universe is evolution. As forms evolve they survive better.
PM AXIOM 19: The effort of life organism is to achieve survival goals to evolve. It succumbs when it fails to do so.
.
DN AXIOM 20: LAMBDA creates, conserves, maintains, requires, destroys, changes, occupies, groups and disperses MEST.
LAMBDA survives by animating and mobilizing or destroying matter and energy in space and time.
PM AXIOM 20: The life organism evolves by interacting with its environment in various ways.
.
DN AXIOM 21: LAMBDA is dependent upon optimum motion. Motion which is too swift and motion which is too slow are equally contra survival.
Life organism must maintain a harmonious rate of interaction with their environment. When this rate is too swift or too slow it works against their survival.
PM AXIOM 21: The survival of life organism depends upon a harmonious rate of motion.
.
DN AXIOM 22: THETA and thought are similar orders of static.
THETA is the static viewpoint. Thought comes about when postulates occur to explain what is there.
PM AXIOM 22: THETA is the static viewpoint. Thought is the basic substance of what is viewed.
.
DN AXIOM 23: All thought is concerned with motion.
What is there is sensed as something dynamic. Thought begins as postulates to provide perception to that dynamic sensation.
PM AXIOM 23: All thought is concerned with perceiving what is there.
.
DN AXIOM 24: The establishment of an optimum motion is a basic goal of reason.
DEFINITION: LAMBDA is a chemical heat engine existing in space and time motivated by the life static and directed by thought.
Thought is the basic fabric that dynamically constructs point by point what is there to be perceived. It brings about consistency of perception. This is the basic goal of reason. This fabric of thought hardens into radiation and matter and give structure to the life organism.
PM AXIOM 24: The basic goal of reason is to establish maximum continuity, consistency and harmony.
.
DN AXIOM 25: The basic purpose of reason is the calculation or estimation of effort.
Thought recognizes where oneness is violated. It then postulates and assimilates all the postulates to bring about oneness of perception. This is how reason functions.
PM AXIOM 25: The basic purpose of reason is to resolve violations of oneness by postulating and assimilating all postulates.
.
DN AXIOM 26: Thought is accomplished by THETA FACSIMILES of physical universe, entities or actions.
Life organisms maintain a mental matrix in which all sensations received by the organism are assimilated. Thoughts are generated when perceptions cannot be assimilated due to anomalies (discontinuities, inconsistencies, and disharmonies). The goal of these thoughts is accomplished when the anomalies are resolved.
PM AXIOM 26: Thought is accomplished when the anomalies (discontinuities, inconsistencies, and disharmonies) observed by the organism are resolved.
.
DN AXIOM 27: THETA is satisfied only with harmonious action or optimum motion and rejects or destroys action or motion above or below its tolerance band.
PM AXIOM 27: Evolution in this universe requires eliminating all extremely slow or sudden shifts in motion and establishing harmonious action.
.
DN AXIOM 28: The mind is concerned wholly with the estimation of effort.
DEFINITION: Mind is the THETA command post of any organism or organisms.
The reason is applied through the mental matrix of the life organism, which is concerned wholly with the resolution of anomalies. Therefore, the mental matrix may be regarded as the command post of the life organism.
PM AXIOM 28: The mind is the command post of the organism, which is concerned wholly with the resolution of anomalies.
.
DN AXIOM 29: The basic errors of reason are failure to differentiate amongst matter, energy, space and time.
PM AXIOM 29: The reason fails when it is fixated on (identified with) some aspect of the universe and fails to recognize anomalies.
.
DN AXIOM 30: Rightness is proper calculation of effort.
PM AXIOM 30: Rightness is increase in alignment of motion.

Comments
This is a universe of change. A form appears, survives for some time, and then disappears. No form survives for ever. Therefore, the natural goal in this universe is evolution and not survival.
The effort of life organisms is toward evolution. The goal of life organisms is evolution. The penalty of failure to evolve is extinction.
If mankind fails to evolve it will become extinct.
