Reference: The Nature of Awareness (Part 1)

Awareness arises from non-awareness. It evolves into this universe. It may then dissolve back ultimately into non-awareness. The form of awareness is relative motion. Awareness implies existence.

POSTULATE: Awareness has the form of relative motion. This is existence.

.

The fundamental relative motion is perceived in physics as a varying field that has wavelike characteristics of a wavelength, period and frequency. Thus, we may postulate different awareness to have different wavelengths, periods and frequencies.

The fundamental form of awareness is wavelike that has a wavelength, period and frequency.

.

The wavelength of awareness provides a sense of extent, which is defined by the dimension of space. Therefore, space is not absolutely empty at fundamental level. Space is filled with awareness.

Space is a measure of how far awareness extends. Space is not empty.

.

The period of awareness provides a sense of duration, which is defined by the dimension of time. Therefore, time is not absolutely arbitrary at the fundamental level. It is marked by awareness.

Time is a measure of how long awareness endures. Time is not arbitrary.

.

Awareness has a wavelike form that may be described as light. It seems to condense along a spectrum of increasing frequency as energy. It seems to condense further along a spectrum of increasing density as matter.

Awareness condenses as energy and matter. Awareness has form.

.

This is a universe of awareness. Everything is made up of awareness. A stone has extent and duration. It has a form with certain physical and chemical properties. All these characteristics are manifestation of awareness.

We are not saying that a stone is aware the same way that humans are. The awareness of humans is manifested as human characteristics. We are moving away from a human-centric explanation of awareness.

Awareness of an object is manifested as its characteristics.

.

It was the human-centric viewpoint that maintained, “Earth is at the center of this universe, and the sun revolves around the earth.” The human-centric viewpoint seems to maintain, “Awareness originates from a humanlike beingness called God.”

From a reality-centric viewpoint all reality is awareness. This has been so even before animated life and humans emerged in this universe. Everything in this universe is imbued with awareness.

Awareness is not limited to humans and animated life. Awareness forms the very fabric of this universe.

Awareness consists of perception and recognition and it results in knowledge.

Awareness makes up (1) Thoughts and ideas, (2) Feelings and emotions, and (3) Sensations and impulses

In other words, awareness is the primary constituent of thoughts, emotions, impulses, etc.

Ability, such as, potential of awareness, is also awareness at some level.

Anything considered potential does not exclude awareness, because one is aware of it as a potential.

Awareness of awareness is basically self-awareness or consciousness.

Awareness of awareness Unit shall basically be a “consciousness unit”. It would be a unit that is conscious.

Obviously, this unit is made up of consciousness, so it is a piece of consciousness that is fixed or permanent in some way.

AWARENESS OF AWARENESS UNIT, 1 . an actuality of no mass, no wavelength, no position in space or relation in time, but with the quality of creating or destroying mass or energy, locating itself or creating space, and of re-relating time. (Dn 55 .!, p. 29)

If this unit has some permanency then it would be like a standing wave as it is a unit of consciousness. So, saying that it has no wavelength is inconsistent.

The concept of THETAN in Scientology is inconsistent.

THETAN would be relative motion of the most complex kind. It would be at the end of an evolutionary chain and not at the beginning of it.

A THETAN would be very condensed awareness like the nucleus of an atom.

Awareness condenses to become a THETAN (being) per

What is observer before awareness has condensed into a being?

“Separation of observer from observed” comes from a self-centric viewpoint. The reality-centric viewpoint simply recognizes reality for what it is.

There is no observer separate from what is observed until the being is formed. Even then the viewpoint is part of reality. It is reality looking at itself from different angles.

BEINGNESS: Beingness is made of essence and form. The fundamental essence is awareness. The fundamental form is light.

SELF: Self is made of spirit and body.

SPIRIT: Spirit comes from a condensation of awareness.

BODY: Body comes from a condensation of light.

So far we have looked at awareness subjectively from a “human-centric” viewpoint. We consider that inanimate objects, such as stone, are not aware. This view changes when we look objectively from a “reality-centric” viewpoint.

How does awareness relate to the matrix of definitions and logic?

The definitions seem to be like poles. Logics are like lines of force between those poles.

    Dear Vinaire

To say awareness arises from non-awareness is almost as ridiculous as saying awareness arises from God. The only difference being that the second statement just happens to be true.

Could you please explain how what you are calling ridiculous is actually ridiculous. I do understand that it is your opinion, but it is not clear to me. Thanks.

Non-awareness is like a curtain. We do not know what is behind that curtain.

So, I do not see awareness arising from non-awareness to be ridiculous at all. You need to provide a more substantial argument.
