The Intention to Harm (old)

Please see The Intention to Harm

Reference: What is KHTK?

The intention to harm is morally so unacceptable that when not fully confronted it gets buried deep in the psyche. It then causes anxiety and unhappiness.

Some of the forms of this intention are as follows:

(1)    SELFISHNESS.  One thinks of the satisfaction of one’s own desires without caring of the effects it creates on others in its wake.

(2)    EXPLOITATION. Any action that exploits others for personal gains has the intention to harm underlying it.

(3)    SEXUAL DESIRES. This is a special instance of the above when it leads to actions that cause suffering to the object of one’s affection.

.

The KHTK approach to handling this deep source of unhappiness is as follows:

  1. Train oneself on EXERCISE: Technique of Mindfulness. This exercise may be repeated anytime to polish up one’s mindfulness skills.

  2. Train oneself on EXERCISE: Being There. This exercise may be repeated anytime to polish up one’s skill in letting the mind unstack itself.

  3. Train oneself on EXERCISE: Contemplation. This exercise may be repeated anytime to polish up the ability to spot and resolve inconsistencies.

  4. Train oneself on TRAINING: LOOKING AT KNOWLEDGE. This training may be repeated anytime to polish up the ability to look at knowledge.

  5. Look up the definitions of HARM in a dictionary. Contemplate over each instance of harm as you may have encountered in real life. Let the mind unstack itself naturally during such contemplation.

  6. Look up the definitions of INTENTION in a dictionary. Contemplate over each instance of intention as you may have encountered in real life. Let the mind unstack itself naturally during such contemplation.

  7. Read the introduction above to this process. Make some examples of INTENTION TO HARM. Contemplate over each instance of “intention to harm” as you may have encountered in real life. Let the mind unstack itself naturally during such contemplation.

  8. Do the above to a point when some persistent thought, emotion or impulse has just left, though this may not always be possible.

  9. Repeat this procedure until you can BE THERE comfortably with a deep understanding of “intention to harm” on a first-hand, experiential basis.

Your comments on this KHTK process are welcome.

Still percolating from yesterday’s session, I want to bring up the concept of implantation which is currently missing from the OP. I am finding that with respect to harmful intentions that these can be implanted. Not only can harmful intentions be implanted very simply through conditioning, but the notion or belief that one contains harmful intentions when in fact one does not is both very easy to condition into a person and exploitative.

    From dictionary.com, im·plant [v. im-plant, -plahnt; n. im-plant, -plahnt]
    verb (used with object)
    1. to put or fix firmly: to implant sound principles in a child’s mind.
    2. to plant securely.

I like my vector model of self. There is nobody implanting anything. It is simply the conditions reorienting the vectors.

Implanting is how it appears, just as self is how it appears. But it all breaks down into vectors and a complex interaction among them.

Yes there is fixation, but there is nobody bringing it about. There is just a basic principle somewhere here that needs to be isolated.

I also like and am using your vector model of self. Vectors and input for iteration are for me synonymous. This is why auditing what has been done to us is effective. This is also why auditing what we have done is effective as the iterative and fractal processes of life are recursive. In other words, what we have done becomes input for the future. It’s without values such as good or bad. It is simply recursive. This is consistent with karma as I understand it.

“Our lives are not our own. We are bound to others, past and present, and by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.” ― David Mitchell, in Cloud Atlas.

          That is a nice quote.

There are influencing factors that add “force” to distort the native state. Underlying “what is done to us” or “what we have done” is the factor of FORCE.

This factor of force appears as inconsistency. If we dissolve inconsistencies as we come across them, we also dissolve the force that determines our existing unwanted condition.

Take out the anthropomorphism and implantation becomes consistent with your vector model.

Vin: Yes there is fixation, but there is nobody bringing it about. There is just a basic principle somewhere here that needs to be isolated.

Chris: Our models drift toward a determinism. Whatever the unknowable underpinning, the world that I live in is deterministic. This is a tremendous and unsolicited and unconditioned turnaround from my view of will from a few short years ago.

          Aren’t you glad! Haha…

Determinism = collapsing from the wave state of all possibilities. But collapsing occurs because of some natural principle.

There are no nasty pysches on the whole track. Those are like shadows in the dark that mother’s use to threaten their disobedient children to make them afraid and compliant.

In dictionary.com, Intention is defined thusly, “in·ten·tion [in-ten-shuhn] noun 1. an act or instance of determining mentally upon some action or result . . . ”

Philosophically, we are using intention to provide the physical interface between nothing, and something. By this, I am writing that mentally there is nothing and then there arises something. This is my observation of the inception of manifestation.

There is an enormous assumption at the beginning of the definition of intention that the volition of this manifestation of something is caused by the individual.

I am now considering whether this is true, or rather how true this is. As I have routinely written, it is my conjecture that our language describing physical phenomena may not be laid out quite rightly.

Yesterday during a review of the definition of the word intention, I demonstrated my intention to myself by picking up my own hand. By raising it and lowering it using different scenarios, I demonstrated that either raised or lowered “if and only if” I used the interface of intention. What is this intention I wondered. We are conditioned to believe that it arises from our immortal spirit. Yet I am noticing that this “if and only if” function is quite common in logic and other machinery.

      • vinaire's avatar vinaire  On November 29, 2013 at 11:12 AM

The idea of “immortal spirit” just an agreed upon conjecture. It is now time to look at it more closely.

There exists the assumption that personal responsibility and will to be adamantly welded. I am considering “How true is this?”

I assume that if my opinions were important or if anyone cared what I think then I would receive a few flaming responses for this sacrilege. However, because I consider that no one cares what I think then this unholy comment may go unnoticed! I may be allowed to consider this issue of will in peace.

I believe that it is the tortured state of a person from which the intention to harm comes.

When that tortured state is fixed, the intention to harm goes away completely.

    • vinaire's avatar vinaire  On November 29, 2013 at 11:29 AM

For a person in good condition, simply understanding the “intention to harm” on deep personal terms, as this process does, brings about an incredible insight into the underlying mechanism here.

Yes, the hour we spent on this yesterday illuminated an item left over from my problems with Scientology.

Yes, now I have to get busy converting L-10 to an easily doable process. LOL!

That’s all? . . . Or we can just run it and see what happens then tweak from there. I learned yesterday how to adapt my looking from co-auditing, to solo auditing, then back again – the salient point of looking. I felt my efficiency making that conversion improved. I used to go completely limp in the hands of the auditor giving over control to allow the auditor to direct. Then I was more pleased with solo auditing for speed and control. Now I think I can do both while allowing the auditor to direct looking – remain also alertly in control and watching for “reads”.

Excellent. Responsibility for ones case can be shared and multiplied.

The purpose of a KHTK guide is simply to help one along with the principles of mindfulness. Apart from that it is simply the person looking for oneself totally under one’s own contol.

When mindfulness is applied, the “reactive mind” is completely diffused, and solo auditing can be carried on easily.

Practice of mindfulness replaces the needs for an auditor. Now you may continue with step 9 of the process of “Intention to harm” by yourself. Actually, looking at your recent posts, you are already doing it admirably.

Implantation of the idea that one has harmful intentions when one does not can produce this tortured state as well. This seems to cross a spectrum or scale of severity depending on both sides of the implantation. On the effectiveness of the implanter to locate and implant to a willing receptor, for example the successful hypnotist or mother who has conditioned weaknesses for and willingness for reception of suggestions. And also on the side of the implantee whose weakness for and conditioning for and willingness for receiving the introvertive suggestions of others plays an important role.

      • Chris Thompson's avatar Chris Thompson  On November 29, 2013 at 12:17 PM

This is consistent with the Vectors Model of Self.

      • vinaire's avatar vinaire  On November 29, 2013 at 12:30 PM

The solution is “seeing things as they are” (mindfulness). This will dissolve any inconsistency whether it originates internally due to misunderstanding, or it is imposed from external influences such as implantation.

An implanted vector, whether it is positive or negative, is an inconsistency. It has force that overcomes naturalness. Removal of all force on a case shall restore the most optimum state.
