Definitions
The mind is that aspect of the beingness which senses and expands through postulates.

A matrix is a surrounding medium, structure, or environment in which something develops. The mind functions as a matrix.

The data which the mind operates on, first appears as sensations.

The sensation must be decomposed into perceptual elements for it to be assimilated in the mental matrix.

We see the universe in many different ways. These are various forms of perception.
The Perception (Memory, Imagination, Hallucination)

When sensations do not get decomposed and assimilated, they remain as an uninterpreted facsimiles.

Facsimiles or samskara’s corrupt one’s perception and the ability to reason. The remedy has been mindfulness since ancient times.

In perceiving and reasoning, the data at every step must make sense. And that means all data should be ONE according to the principle of Oneness.

UNDERSTANDING
Understanding comes about when all anomalies related to a subject are resolved. In other words, the associations among the relevant elements related to that subject have become continuous, consistent and harmonious.

CONSCIOUSNESS
Consciousness is degree of awareness. It depends on the fineness of perceptual elements in one’s mental matrix. The perceptual elements are much finer in humans than in animals. Therefore, the consciousness in humans is much higher.
