KHTK Factor # 27

Reference: A Course on the Factors

KHTK Factor # 27: The cause of life’s suffering is attachment to what one postulates.

We postulate to know the Unknowable. We can let go of a postulate and just as easily make a different postulate. But we get invested in a postulate when we build a complex structure on top of that postulate and start to believe in it.

The universe is such a complex structure. There have been many cycles of the universe in the past. There will be many cycles of the universe in the future. There is the current cycle of the universe. It is not an illusion. But it is what it is. It is the outcome of one’s postulates. Knowing that is freedom.

For one can then be involved without being attached to it.

Scientology

Compare the above to the following factor in Scientology.

Scientology Factor # 27. There is beingness, but Man believes there is only becomingness.

When one is simply being, one is not introverted into oneself. Becomingness starts with introversion into oneself.

.

Logic

One gets extroverted as one starts to resolve anomalies. The simplification continues until the Unknowable realizes what it is.
