KHTK Factor # 25

Reference: A Course on the Factors

KHTK Factor # 25: Death is a switching of physical beingness.

The beingness is changing all the time even at the fundamental level of postulates. In other words, there is no permanent beingness.

During a lifetime, the physical beingness is relatively fixed; but it still changes from childhood to adult phase to old age. What we call “death” is essentially the ending of the body or the physical beingness of a lifetime.

The mental beingness consists of the postulates that have come together to form the viewpoint. The viewpoint can change without thinking that it is the end of its existence. But it can become fixated on its speculations, assumption or ideas. In that case, it may think that letting go of such beliefs will also be the end of itself. This is an aberration.

What continues after death are the changes one brought about in the accumulated knowledge of the society and mankind. The specific beingness also continues through one’s DNA. The DNA consists of the blueprint of the body plus evolutionary programming. The unassimilated impressions are also carried forward until they are fully assimilated.

The DNA exists in the ashes of the body. But DNA is also transmitted through one’s children.

Scientology

Compare the above to the following factor in Scientology.

Scientology Factor # 25. Thus comes about death.

This follows from Scientology Factor # 24, according to which the viewpoint starts to identify itself with the dimension points; and starts to believe that, like them, it can perish too.

.

Logic

The logic of afterlife can easily be explained as above in the continuation of mental fixations beyond the death of physical beingness.
