Truth-Hallucination

Summary
Hubbard says, “The highest one can attain to truth is to attain to his own illusions.” In other words, ultimately a person becomes aware of the postulates underlying all reality. This includes the postulate underlying his own beingness. This does not mean that it is all illusion. It simply means that this is how it is. When the person understands the universe completely, he becomes aware of its oneness. In other words, he sees it as continuous, consistent and harmonious in all its aspects. All anomalies are resolved. He now sees the truth.
Hubbard says, “The lowest one can descend from truth is a complete acceptance of MEST universe reality.” In other words, a person’s awareness has reduced to total confusion. He cannot recognize things. His awareness has become an uncontrolled hallucination. There is nothing stable that he can hang on to. He has lost the stability of beingness.
Hubbard says, “What is commonly believed to be truth is agreement upon natural law.” Hubbard rejects the MEST universe and the principle of oneness. However, the truth are the natural laws that proceed from the oneness of the postulates underlying the universe. There are no separate Theta and MEST universes. There is only one universe made up of all that we know.
The ability of the thetan lies in recognizing the anomalies and resolving them. He starts with resolving the earliest and broadest anomalies. Having an agreement does not mean disregarding what is there. He should be able to see the reality for what it is, and not as his desires. He should be able to recognize the anomalies in his observations, and resolve them.
The ideal scene is the continuity, consistency and harmony of oneness!

Comments
Hubbard tries to explain truth in terms of cause-effect, but truth can be established only by resolving anomalies in terms of Unknowable-knowable. Anomalies are violations of the Principle of Oneness, such as, discontinuity (missing data), inconsistency (contradictory data), or disharmony (arbitrary data). When all anomalies in a scene are resolved, only truth remains.
Hubbard makes a differentiation between MEST universe and one’s own universe. This is a false differentiation because there is only one universe based on the principle of oneness. The MEST universe is not an obstacle; but it consists of anomalies to be resolved. Hubbard seems to have a low confront on the anomaly of the MEST universe.
