Reference: The Postulates: Postulate Mechanics
These postulates explore the logic and resolution of anomalies.
A postulate is a foundational assumption taken as true, from which everything else is derived.
Abbreviation: PS = Postulate
Postulates
PM 61: The mind is a matrix of data maintained in a state of dynamic oneness.
- Oneness has the characteristics of harmony, consistency and continuity.
PM 62: A datum is a sensation, perception or concept that is assimilated into oneness.
PM 63: Knowledge is assimilated data that is divided further into subjects.
PM 64: Knowledge experienced by an identity is capable of influencing that identity.
PM 65: A definition of terms is necessary for the purpose of communication and assimilation.
- The definitions are made of postulates.
PM 66: Opposites of a duality are connected by a gradient scale between them.
- For example, the opposites of hot and cold are connected by a gradient of temperature.
PM 67: Any datum has a relative position on a gradient scale.
- The value of a datum is determined by its relative position on the scale.
PM 68: A datum can be evaluated only by a datum of comparable magnitude.
PM 69: The anomalies can be resolved on a gradient only.
PM 70: Logic is spotting the right gradient of anomaly, and making the right postulate to resolve it.
PM 71: A postulate is as valuable as it improves the dynamic oneness of the mental matrix.
PM 72: The postulate is modified by the viewpoint of an identity.
PM 73: Anomalies are resolved by arranging them on a gradient by subject, and then starting with the anomaly that precedes others.
PM 74: Elements of an anomaly are then arranged in a sequence to identify arbitrary, contradictory and missing factors.
- Arbitrary factors are those which do not derive from natural law but only from authoritarian command.
PM 75: Anomalies are thus resolved by looking closely and recognizing arbitrary, contradictory and missing factors.
